These types of warm-ups have been a game changer for myself and my clients.
    My two favorites choices:
    Upper Body Day
    Pushup Variation x25
    Band Pushdown x25
    Band Pulldown x25
    Lower Body Day
BW 45 Degree Back Extension x25
    BW Box Squat x25
    Light Reverse Hyper x25

I added Wenning Warm-ups about six months ago, initially adding two cycles, waiting for my main lifts to go back up and then six weeks ago adding a third cycle. All but my bench have gone up and my bench is back on its way. Fitness and recovery have all improved and I feel less injury prone as a 45 year old lifter.

Excellent tip from Matt. With Wenning Warmups, you can kind of "sneak" a lot of volume into your program that puts more muscle on you, and addresses weaknesses. I do the band leg curls as warmups and my 30 year history of hamstring cramps came to an end, at age 65 !!! Thanks Matt!!!

This is great, can’t wait to implement. It will be awhile, upcoming surgery and then recovery and therapy. Just curious after benching about doing accessories, pin press, floor press, etc. I’m guessing I’ll be spent! Hahaha. Watched lower body warmup video and plan on using it tomorrow.

Asked a question about breakdown on Wenning warm-ups for Dave Tates table talk with Matt, and I have to apologize for asking a stupid-esque question because like Matt said, it's most likely already on Wenning Strengths channel, so sorry about that and thanks for all the content!

Thank you for the amazing info! Would I be able to apply this warmup to more of a bodybuilding style program as well?

Fantastic info. Just wish I wasnt at a commercial gym, and had time to do this. I already get people staring at me, as I spend time doing strength program with 5+ mins between sets...

I feel like I'd be a bit burnt out doing this before benching but you're the pro so I'm going to go for it. Thank you for the great channel and tips. I'm definitely going to get your bench press program.

      how did it go?

@@DuckSau2e I would recommend this warm up 100%. I was surprised and amazed at how prepared I felt to bench. Having a pumped upper back gives you that much more of a stable base to press off of. My numbers went up too which proves Matt knows exactly what he's talking about.

@@abbottfriar5682 thanks for the reply. you did exactly what he said in the video?

    • @abbottfriar5682

@@DuckSau2e Basically. I did 4sets of light lat pulldowns (around 30-35lbs) for 25 reps super set with tricep pushdowns using the same lat pulldown machine (15 lbs) for 25 reps and used a 10 lb dumbbell for 25 reps of standing shoulder press (one arm at a time). Repeat those 3 exercises back to back for 4 sets and you're plenty warmed up. I then only did 2 light warm ups on flat bench (95lbs x 8, 115 x 8). I'm not much of a bencher but I was able to go from just one set of 225 for barely 2 reps to 4 sets of 3.

Day 1 starting the Wenning warmups with the ideal Upper bench press routine.
I was able to do the back exercises just fine but the chest is a struggle after the warmups but after 3 months I will see where I am

DUDE. It's unreal I just hit a 405 dealift when I was stuck at 315 for months. Just started this year to focus on deadlift and I'm trying to get to 600lbs. In less than a month you've helped my deadlift so I'm going to follow that patreon Thank you for the valuable information
