    One of the main improvements over leaving the commercial gym scene and building a home gym is that you can do warm-ups like this. I usually do 3 movements, 20-25 reps, for 4 sets. 1 movement being the actual movement of the day, for example deep kettle swings or light belt squats for a squat day. Then for the other two I focus on lacking parts like ham curls, reverse hypers, or planks. Like you said in the video I think it's a great idea to change the grip or angle every set, I'll have to try that out.

    Not really a fan of this warm up scheme. Personally I try to make my warm ups minimalist as possible because my gym isn't huge and jumping from machine to sled to power rack for just my warm up seems like a way to get in other people's way. I tend to do all my wenning warmups with a band and maybe pair of dumbbells at whatever rack or bench I'm using for my main movement. Obviously if you own a well equipped gym then you can do more or less as you please, but that's not most people.

      Agreed, I do this in my own gym. Or recommend it for garage gym owners, great point

    Been a fan of Wenning inspired warm ups for a while now. My go to lower body warm up is
    A1. Reverse lunge 3-5x10
    A2. Walking lunges 3-5x10
    A3. Goblet squat to box 3-5x10
    A4. Squat or Deadlift depending on day 135 3x5 185 2x5. All don’t zero rest back to back.

    Matt uses 3 moves on his Lower/Upper days (Lower: Hams/Abs/Belt Squats, Upper: DB Press/Tris/Lats) for 4 sets of 25 reps making a total of 300 reps each day. This isn't what Wenning does.

    Great video but not Wenning warm ups, 4 sets of 25 - 300 total reps in 12-15 minutes. Focus on lower back, and, hamstrings, triceps, glutes and hips.

      @@barbellbryce yeah the 10 dollar a month membership isn’t that bad, the other more expensive tiers are pointless.
      The issue with the 10 dollar a month one is MOST of the content exists on TH-cam already in summary format.
      A few times I pay the 10 bucks just to review some concepts in more
      Detail going back a few years but then I cancel it lol because the updates are few and far between and there is no new video per se . It will be 5 videos in 3 months on 5 slightly different facepulls :D

    • @lajneen2315
      @lajneen2315 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I pretty much agree with what BACON BLASTER said. I unsubscribed recently it's crazy expensive for what you get. You used to get all the extra content from the youtube videos for the cheapest tier but when I unsubscribed it was the 2nd highest tier you needed to pay for to even get them. The only way I could see the top tier being worth it is pay it once and binge all the videos and write all the information down. I don't know how Matt can justify the prices when the youtube videos have pretty much stopped and he doesn't do things like Wenning Wednesday anymore. Oh and for anyone who is still subscribed to him don't bother asking him any in depth questions because you'll get a brief answer that might not even cover your question and if you ask in the comments to any of the posts he likely won't reply because he claims he doesn't always have the time to read them. I mean come on you're charging people money, make time!
