You’ve inspired me to ride this trail now. It’s easy to pass up with all the great trail in the area but this one is a true test of man and bike.

I’ve always been curious about this trail. Even tougher looking than I had imagined.

Great riding on a super challenging trail! I need to ride this trail more often. I always ride the black and double black usuals like DM, BOB, Valley Girls, Dr. Rockso, Dr. Diablo, Rickety Cricket, Merritt Creek, Kissing Booth, etc., but Admiral Rockbar always seems to be put on the back burner. It seems like if you start at the Haines Road parking lot, you’re not warmed up enough to ride it right away and if you ride all the Nimby Cluster black and double black trails first, you’re too tired to ride Rockbar on the way back. I’ve got to find the right mix. Rockbar is too tough to ride when tired.

Such a fun trail! I like to start at Hutchinson Rd and ride Dr Rockso, Merritt Creek, and then on to Admiral Rockbar. I then take the DT over to Nimby to ride whatever. Always flowed well for me that way. Can always make it a bigger day and add Kissing Booth with that loop. Miss having those trails to ride everyday. Duluth is so rad.

@@LoamerMTB Good plan. I’ll try that route next year. I switch off parking lots and do Hutchinson and Haines or even park at the bottom of DM and BOB on Skyline Parkway and take Skyline trail up to NIMBY. Then it’s a downhill finish. I ride Duluth pretty much daily during the riding season. I’ve ridden with Jeremy a couple of times. Great rider and great dude. You and I and Jeremy were going to ride together on the trip you videoed, but I had something come up and couldn’t make it. It looks like you had an amazing ride.

This trail scared the crap out of me the first time I rode it. I don't know anyone who has ever cleaned the entire climb start to finish, but I'm sure some beast out there has lol.

Yeah it’s tough. I’ve cleared every section but always slip a tire and dab somewhere…

If you like this I think you’d like Stone Age up there in Duluth as well.

I would love Stone Age! Didn’t have a chance to ride it on this trip. Maybe next time.
