      I thought this building was supposed to be 70 stories + mechanical floors. If they wanted to make this building a good looking building, they should have made it at least 6 to 12 stories taller at the top section (a more natural aesthetic roof height/ pinnacle height). Anyway, I hope this company goes bankrupt. The last thing they need to be doing is to be building a new headquarters. It's the worst bank in human history.

    I am more exited about the fact Art Deco is back. New York new buildings from 1950s to the 2000s had no soul. But in the 2010s and 2020s we are finally getting nice building again.

    Absolutely a beautiful building. My disappointment is that the renderings continually showed it in a golden tone, which I don't see in the actual/finished product. Very disappointing.

      It does not have air conditioning. But, the windows open about 4 inches. Plus, every other office space has floor fans installed. That's how they make it "Eco concious. I think.

    I like to see beautiful architecture - and this one IS beautiful - but why are buildings this tall still needed in a city where many employees prefer to work remotely and many others are fleeing the high cost of living and general lawlessness (thanks to Alvin Bragg and L. James) at all levels? I am one of those who got out, and regret I didn’t do it sooner!

    At the rate that NYC is imploding my best guess is it will be a near empty building even after a year of being completed.. One only has to look at how fast hedge funds are leaving.. how many retail shops and restaurants are closing and leaving.. And most importantly what commercial realestate of this type are sitting vacant. 3 billion to build an ediface to hubris

The video shows how the union carbide building had to knock down its predecessor, and that one the predecessor before it. Should we just have left it as a 16th century hut or teepee? Maybe put back all the out houses that preceded your pre-war buildings

    How could you do an entire video without mentioning the lighted top sections? What do they house? Dampeners? HVAC? Water? Anything but lighting? What is the lighting--does it change?
