@@JamesFarrOfficial Holy cow James, it’s been an honor to be recognized by you and your work. Your stuff deserves more attention, especially those outside of TrainsFormers (Steampuff, Xombie, those other parodies) and making this video was a real treat.
Nice to see that you have an attention to detail about office Thomas lore farr! Also to answer you question on why Thomas even needs a driver even though he is alive is kinda the reason why the series exists in the first place. To the creator of Thomas (Wilbert Awdry) the steam engines in our world already feel alive even without giant gray faces. I have heard from people who worked with them that they are very demanding, unpredictable, and noisy machines. The creator used to pretend that the trains would have a conversation while going up a hill that he lived next to as a kid. I hope this didn’t come off as rude,I just thought it was too interesting to not the being up lol
If there was another Trains-Formers video, it would have the Fun Police facing Vector, Opthomas and Co. with the Fun Police being defeated at long last.

Fun fact: James Farr (the creator of the trainsformers series) would later go on to become one of the animators for Transformers: Rescue Bots, which kinda shows how far he came as an animator, which honestly going from making a Transformers parody series to making an official Transformers series, which I’m just realising rescue bots does kind of have the same sort of style as Trainsformers the more I think about it. But for real I absolutely loved watching these videos as kid coming from a fan who is both a fan of Thomas The Tank Engine and Transformers, seeing something like this just blew my mind when I first saw it as a kid.

As an aspiring animator, Trainsformers and the rest of James Farr’s videos and his history is truly inspiring. Super excited to see what will unfold in the seventh Trainsformers instalment!
Trainsformers is definitely a very unique and fascinating series; two iconic and legendary franchises morphed into one, epic crossover. Speaking of crossovers, another fascinating series created by the Thomas fandom, one that you mentioned before, is The Railways of Crotoonia. It's not just Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends, it's a whole multiverse with many different characters (locomotives, mainly) from many different movies, short films, and TV series. You should do a video about that series, as I would love to see one.
I must say that you're not the only one who got introduced to Transformers by Trainsformers. I always liked this show, so simple and yet so charming in concept. Just the thought of Thomas becoming a Giant Robot is interesting, and James Farr executed it damm well. I always have some kind of false hope, that in an Anniversary Event of either of the IP's, an official OpThomas Prime toy comes out. Next year is the 80th Thomas Anniversary, hell, imagine if Mattel and Hasbro teamed up and release it, now that would be Prime.
As someone who loves Thomas The Tank Engine and Transformers, this parody series is a dream come true! I wish more Thomas parodies were light-hearted and fun like Trainsformers. Though I'm surprised no one has talked about or parodied Engie Benjy, as it's a fun show with a lot of charm. Also, Ant and Dec voice Engie Benjy himself [Dec], Jollop [Ant], and Benjy's cousin Trucker Troy [Ant]. I wish Engie Benjy had more love. Though I am glad Mattel didn't get their greedy hands on the series.
Trainsformers is absolutely one beautiful relic of this era, I remember enjoying it a lot and I’m glad the series at least got its conclusion, plus the push for fan content (like the aforementioned Mad Bomber) after Mattel bought hit was a positive impact.
I was actually personal friends with Vector for a few months on discord. I went from a casual fan to someone he called an actual friend. I had my own problems at the time, and I broke their trust (which I regret and I have learned from my mistakes) but they were pretty selfish and seemed to have pretty strict household rules enforced by their father (who I also talked to a few times). growing up watching these animations (mario, Thomas, ect) was fun and I would have never thought I'd actually get to be friends with one of the major players involved at any point ever... not bragging btw of course. one thing that lead to me getting to know them was how down to earth I was and how I wouldn't just fanboy and bother them at a constant. I knew how to treat them like a human being. overall though, depsite being a bit self-absorbed (at the time!!!), Vector is a good kid and a good guy. Vector, if you see this, I'm "MadMan". lol
@WaksWorld05 Vector's father? no. BUT I do remember him walking down the hall in thr background and telling Vector to get of discord and go to bed a few times lol
The fan mashup may feel inconceivable to a type of Thomas fan who may insist the franchise must adhere to realism and All Engines Go is a unforgivable travesty, but kids don’t care about that, Thomas and Transformers are imaginatively mashed, and it comes back around to being awesome for most everyone.
Well, since it's a parody, of course it’s not gonna have as much realism as the show generally does. So it can be excused. Same cannot be said for All Engines Go, since it basically IS official and NOT a parody, even if it kinda feels like one.
At 3:09 when you mentioned the collaboration, they’re not only doing a collaboration with hot wheels, but they’re also doing a collaboration with Beyblade!
Imagine if Hasbro brought Thomas and Friends, they would probably make a crossover comic with Thomas and Transformers. Just like what they did with MLP and Transformers.
I know this is late but something I also remember is when the day that Trainsformers reborn was about to premiere, everyone (including me) changed our profile pictures into OpThomas Prime to celebrate, really shows how strong the fandom is
I remember watching the original versions of the first four episodes back before they got removed because of HiT and really enjoying them. I was never into Transformers however I was familiar with the franchise as I had witnessed watching like the first two Micheal Bay movies from around that time and I didn't like them but as I was a kid and it was sort of cool seeing these cars turning into fighting robots, young me at least thought that were interesting/okay. Because of how naive and stupid and I honestly was as a kid, I didn't get any of the copyright jokes or what the word crap was. I also couldn't understand most of the dialogue that Vector or some of the engines in their Trainsformers forms were saying. But I was still happy with what I was watching. Though I will admit that at some point after watching it a few times back in the day, Lady's Track Arachnis began to creep me out due to how her face looked, but I got over that fear by like 2016 or so. While I'm on the topic, one thing that find interesting about Trainsformers was the choices that James picked out for the antagonists. Now I know now that he wasn't all too familiar with the series back then and I can only assume that with the exception of Sir Topham Hatt and I guess Lady, he had a reason behind potraying the characters who are good or at least not villainous in the official series as villains in Trainsformers. Of course, with Spencer, he must've watched Hero of the Rails as Spencer was a villain in that movie since he wanted to get Hiro killed basically. But then there's Cranky whom I assume he only suspected to be evil due to the name and maybe whatever episodes he might have seen of him at the time if he watched any that had him. I don't know, and I really don't know why he made Salty a bad guy. I sometimes wonder if when it came to adding characters like him and Cranky, he only looked at images of them, and based their roles on whatever he saw of them and he just suspected them to be bad guys due to Cranky's mean face and Salty being a diesel. I don't know. I don't have a problem with it but it's just that question that'll be floating in my mindset until it gets answered.
