It would be as easy to sneak in a nuke as it is for smuggling a larger shipment of narcotics. A nuclear warhead 180kt would comfortably fit in a car trunk, a 2 Mt device would easily fit into a pickup truck bed or a van.😮 Even worse they could use a drug shipment as distraction while the nuke is being snuck in.
