Yeah he's my favorite modern philosopher, & it's not even close.
Whenever he's on a panel of physicists you know his contributions will make you stop & think

@@tysparks598 I absolutely love his talks but I'm having a hard time following him at times. And i consider myself highly intelligent 😅

Maybe I didn't listen carefully enough, because I listened to countless different lectures already, and haven't learn much from; but I didn't understand whether he had a point; as in an idea that suppose to change something in most people's understanding.
Can you (or someone else) answer this please? :-]

The point is like he says, to explain why you can record the past but not the future. If you or someone else understands why the second law of thermodynamics seem to hold so well, in the light of perfect time reversal symmetry in the laws of physics, a comment would be great. Why is "causality" unidirectional in reality, etc? The best way of reaching new insight is probably to do what FQXi is doing, sharing thoughts, ideas, questions and musings in this format.

On the philosophy side Alan watts talks about how your actions can affect the past and that is still blowing my mind weeks later....so that's how I've gotten here...... Lol. I'd also recommend world Science Festival videos... Specifically with Carlos rivelli because of his relevant input on quantum mechanics
