    THIS is how instructional videos are supposed to be. SOMEBODY PAY THIS MAN

    Watched this video 4 times before I even had the flex fuel kit, in the process of putting it on now. Thank you again for this video because the paper instructions were confusing me. I'd also note that when taking the harness out after removing the red clip theres a little bump/ridge under it that when you press in allows for the handle to be slid back. Once again thank you for not making me want to burn my car to the ground.

    Why is any of this needed? A modern day ECU (2013 -currant) already looks for ethanol readings. You should be able to put e85 in it already and the stock ECU should make the appropriate adjustments

      @boltbreakers8805  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Normally that statement would be correct, however the camaro is one of the only products in the GM lineup that doesn't have the e85 tables in its programming.

    A trick I learned doing this was that a standard size paperclip fit perfectly to push the placeholder pin out and allow you to put in the pink signal wire. :)

    If I install my kit my car should work just fine without a tune as long as I don't fill with e85 right? I will need that tune to activate the sensor so I can start filing my tank with e85.

    • @boltbreakers8805
      @boltbreakers8805  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yessir. I had mine installed with no issues. If u have hptuners you can check on your ethanol content after fillups to check if it's working.

    • @boltbreakers8805

      You can run it like that but not with e85. It has to be tuned for flex fuel.

  • @SSGHOST20

    Hey man did your sensor have trouble tuning cuz mine didnt go higher than 40% e85 and they told me the sensor was not working properly

    • @boltbreakers8805
      @boltbreakers8805  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Couldn't say. I never found a tuner that would do e85 before I sold the car. However, u can look on hptuners and see if the ethanol content changes with fillups.

      you may of still had 93 octane in the tank causing it to bled or maybe it was bad e85 not as strong

    Where do you get the tune for the flex fuel kit for it to read and run the e85 you’re putting In?

  • @deruin78

    What work did you have to get down to the engine to get this installed? Because every single video that I watched nobody's saying anything about that and that is something that people should say, What all the work needs to be done to the engine or intake to have this install because it seems really easy but it's probably more than that. I'm not a mechanic by all means, but I would hate to do this to my car and finding out later that something else needed to be done.... I will use your video for help later when I decide to install mine, easy to follow directions.

    • @boltbreakers8805
      @boltbreakers8805  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The engine needs no additional modifications to burn ethanol fuels. It's the tune and the programming that needs changed to make this work.
