Exactly. He made a lot of bros money with his games too. He didn’t have to do any of that. I forget what skater it was but he said Tony hooked him up by putting him and some friends in his bagel bite commercials so they’d make $20,000 a piece just for being in it.
Tony keeps me going I’m 30 and these kids at the park are phenomenal so it’s always good to bust out a trick that makes them say damn mine is the big heel but the 900 is wow... always and forever
@@davidristic3800 Lol! I’ve been going on daily super long walks, and I literally have to take some time off (days? Week? Idk) from doing it because my knee just randomly decided to start hurting really bad for no reason (my feet have been hurting for a while, but I was able to push through that… The knee I just can’t). I also broke my first bone ever a few months ago (just from stubbing it real good on a heavy box - it was my pinky toe). I am 45. It’s all downhill in our mid 40s man lol. I miss my ass the most. It freaking _VANISHED._ It’s like a flat flabby elephant butt now rofl. I used to have a pretty decent Italian round butt. : /
You can actually sandblast a ramp and make it ride like new again. You just have to be able to source a standalone sandblaster that's big enough to do the job.
The thing about having access to good skateparks doesnt matter at all. Have to disagree on that one, look at Pj Ladd he didnt have any skateparks around where he was growing up. And he is one of the best flat/ledge/curb/manualpad/stair skater there is
Tas...twas a wild sk8er...back in the day...poor choices, some misdirection perhaps...but most believe he was in sense screw ed out of the 900. Like yo it was strategically planned that Tony get more camera time. Tas and ben...much respect...they never backed down from much at all.. And kinda , they rose up from nothing...like a powell/California early childhood development
If that surface is 14 years old, just think of the pros who kneepads added to that ramp being slick. Like back to boom boom huck jam and to pros from not just skating. That surface has history embedded into it. Something should be done with the old surface. Like think of the money the could raise by selling sections of the surface.
Imma go Google Carlsbad skatepark now. The skatepark in my town is soo bad and the closest one is a hour away. Watertown, NY skatepark if anyone wants to Google it. It's just some concrete with a couple metal ramps. But the ramps are so damn steep that you can't actually skate them.
Lmao Spencer Hawk has probably been in college for so long because he’s been making electronic music under the name Gupi. Pretty big following in that scene and an extremely talented producer.
He is only 21, therefore he’s only been in college for three years by this point. I don’t know wtf Tony is talking about, because that isn’t long! 4 years is the minimum, ffs. Lol. Took me 5.5 to graduate.
Personally not a fan of Tony Hawks Skate park foundation. They came to my town to build one of these and destroyed a basketball court donated by the Celtics. Everyone used this court from jesus freaks to people in college. They tore it up so a handful of part time skaters can hang out there. The court got replace with this cheap as shit blacktop court with cheap hoops.
I love Tony Hawk. No Ego, no attitude, and no greed. He gave back to the culture, and it loves him back respectively. Amazing human being.
🎯🎯🎯🎯

Word to the mother bird
You can’t find a guy more revered outside skateboarding and respected inside skateboarding
He has always been the same guy even when he came up on money.
Tas Pappas said he was going to be the first skater to do a 900 in his 40’s but Tony stole his skateboard the night before.
Lol !
Underrated!
i think tas would be a great nine club episode
Euan Kirby no doubt
@InConTruth I'm putting you on my skate trivia team. Tas Pappas was done durtee
Just realized they had a microphone in front of the tv where tony is talking lol
Tony keeps me going I’m 30 and these kids at the park are phenomenal so it’s always good to bust out a trick that makes them say damn mine is the big heel but the 900 is wow... always and forever
Just remember: kids nowadays are mostly aholes for bragging they’re better than the pros of the yesteryears... f-k em
That Jaws board behind Kelly is so cool. That old school graphic. They should really bring those back.
How can one not love Tony Hawk. What an absolute Legend
Tony Hawk seems to be the most chill and down to earth celebrity. He is great!
Because he can lol
I remember tony wen he came through to scots valley it was a great that day 💯
What???? When was he there?
@C Rzes that's the one im thinking of
Jeff Rowley said the same thing about perfect ramps LOL
I think 47 was when I first felt a real difference in my physical abilities.
Can confirm, I am 47 and I broke my hip taking my morning dump today

So cool he kept that board that little boy Cooper sent him. Mad respect ✊

All you need is the streetz
@@111kolby True dawg! But sure the parks have something to offer, i get it. But what you gonna do without the funamentals that you learn on flatground
And his ability to just plain use what he had...no thinking of what you need, just what.you.have.
The point is; is get good on gravel and be great everywhere else
Miniramps are super fun tho
I can easily watch that again after i watched the whole episode last week. EASY.

Do a Brandon Turner interview post Wallenberg switch hardflip. That was awesome too.
I think they did! no?
@@Dontbustthecrust I just know of a pre switch hardflip interview. And Jenkem covered the whole deal. But other than that idk.
The latest interview Brandon did with nine club they talk about Wallenberg switch hard flip for sure.
@@LxPxRxPunk yeah pretty sure they discussed it on the 9 club
@@Dontbustthecrust will look it up.

Please Chris roberts try and get Amanda seyfried and Vanessa hudgens on here if you guys can. Keep up the good work
dude, if you wanna skate a miniramp on the east coast you have to go TO woodward and woodward cost like 400 dollars a day. lol.
The level of hawks knowledge... who the hell would have even thought about the plastic from knee pads hahah
So legendary
I miss the pre fab parks on the east coast . All the new parks ain’t the same
plenty in the deep south

Berra had vert skills. Get him on the show.
Should call in Gravette as a consultant for your crappy skatepark idea. He’s well versed
This is like a Jedi intercom
the host really put it on for this one.
Fuck yeah Tony
The bird mans flys
Do you have somebody to mop your ramp? lol
Lol at the street skaters pretending to care about Vert.
i would argue Tony Trujillo was the "park skater" before Sheckler but who am I too question tony Hawk lol
No need to argue, you are allowed to have different opinions without feeling bad. Even towards Tony Hawk!
what happened to Andy Mac? was he on the show at some point?
Drank so much milk
Yes there's a nine club episode with him, pretty good one too!
How many people does it take to assemble that in 3hrs?

Dafook is dis...caner tv interviews skatepros?
Holy
I remember when he came to mountain lake mn and I was like 12 years old and he didn't give us shit🙃
Lol sounds like you're still a 12 year old
Why hasn’t Ryan Sheckler or Rodney Mullen been on The Nine Club yet?
