That's a nice truck you got there, I just purchased a '66 Load-star 1600 FWD with the same engine. I look forward to making it look as nice as yours does.
Wow, thank you! (I was the one who asked for the closer look) that truck is so similar to mine! 304ci. with a 15' box!except mines a little worse condition. but that-ll be fixed soon.
Just at a guess I'd say it is at least a six inch diameter cylinder. Not even sure where to start looking to buy one. The hoist is a Rugby and I see the company is still in business. Might be a place to start looking. www.rugbymfg.com/hoists/truck-hoists
There is no actual rating for the box but after many years of trucking grain across the scales I can say that it holds right around 350 bushels. The 8x15 box is really too big for the truck's factory GVW rating of 19,700 pounds but International built their trucks heavy enough to handle years of overloading.

Very nice truck. You don't see them in this good of shape very often.
Very nice
That's a Beautiful Loadstar!
What is the size of that Cylinder. I am going to buy one these but the cylinder is missing. Any ideas where I can get a new / used one?
