That ride back to your place seemed like it was hours away with the sun setting so quickly. That was a fun ride! 😎

I haven't watched your build video yet. What engine, transmission, and axles are in the truck?
    Wheel pattern?
Any info about adding shock absorbers?
    Air bag ride?
I have a clean original 1964 1800 with the Perkins 6.354T turbo diesel rated at 150.2 hp according to door tag and 25,500 gvw.
5 speed IH transmission, hydraulic power steering and full air brakes.
18.5k 2 speed Eaton rear axle and 7k front axle.
Engine similar to early 5.9 Cummins and the same Holset turbo fits the Perkins; slight upgrade over the ancient tech original and costs less.
I will never haul anything near that heavy; so I want to make the truck ride smoother, travel at least 60 mph empty and if that lowers the gvw in the process, that's fine.
That's why I asked about your axles.
I was thinking maybe Topkick axles and springs might fit and work well.
Would like to convert to 4x4, if the right set of axles ever came along. Was thinking about using Super Duty 4x4 axles and springs since they have 3" spring perches.
Keep original main leaf and clamp dually springs in between main spring and spring perch.
    Add divorced np205 t-case.
Would like to make it easier to drive first and then build off of that without loosing it; unless I go military axles and 50"+ tires.
Then it drives however it drives.
Can convert to wet brakes and just use the air for power assist if needed and have onboard air for adjusting tire pressures for driving conditions.

Mine truck is cab swapped so the entire drivetrain is an 04 dodge 3500 2wd so everything is 1 ton rated and is all stock dodge suspension. It has 8-10 lug adapters to run semi wheels.
