      Love to know how to fully assemble one (haven't found one if you have) with what to torque everything to etc etc. Yous know your stuff !

      @@jakeknight3925 That would be a good one to make! It would be pretty long though but maybe we can separate it into 3 videos. Short block, heads, then manifolds and accessories.
      We have a couple engine builds coming up so we will do what we can to make the time to film. Appreciate the input!

    Great video I have a ej20k was told by a Subaru specialist that the pistons are cast so that's interesting.

      Haha we actually had planned to but a customer needed the short block. Maybe we will do a video with the heads on a newer ej207 block😅

    Really good video. What’s the benefits of a stroker 2.1 over a ej207 or similar style factory block?

    • @OkiSubies

      The 2.1L uses the 79mm crank from the 2.5L and increases torque and helps spool the turbo.🙂

    Quality content guys! I am one of the still stock and untouched EI20K owners. 120K km and still going strong but yeah, I do not abuse it so...
    Question. The JDM STI RA EJ207 short block(the "thick walled" one). What are the modifications needed to install one of the to the otherwise EJ20K car? Have you used one?

    • @OkiSubies

      Love this question!!! I have some good news for you! All version 10 and up (GRB, VAB) EJ207’s have the thick cylinder walls. We have done this with just adding a 1.2mm head gasket. 👍🏻

      @@OkiSubies I know this is specific but can you say what exact gasket you used for this application?

    how would I want to go about building a stroker for the future? I have a 96 ra that has just been fully gone threw 2k kms ago before I bought it so I also have a link g4x with full bolt ons with every gauge for engine management/ fail safes from the ecu. I was also thinking about going with a iag 257 long block or short if i can use my heads.

    • @OkiSubies

      The IAG short block would be a lot easier when it comes to wiring because your heads would bolt up to the 2.5 L block you just need to make sure to get the right head gasket or get your heads chamber matched. You could also just use a 2.5 L 79 mm crank with aftermarket rods and stroker pistons and do a 2.1 L

    What makes these engines weak in a scenes? Or prone to spun bearing

    • @OkiSubies

      Could be bearing material or oem clearances but it is really hard to say.

    Will the ej20k cylinder heads fit to a ej20g engine?

    • @OkiSubies

      Yeah I don’t see why it wouldn’t. You would have to look into the head gasket size to get the proper compression ratio but other than that it should be pretty straightforward.

    EJ20K from RA and normal STi are forged or some people call them semi-forged. WRX and WRX RA are normal die cast. They should use them in WRX RA as well. Die cast cost 60$ but forged ones are 250$.
