- You know her as a red carpet fashion expert, New York Times best-selling author and TV producer, but to me, Melissa Rivers is a dear friend and loyal client. I had the privilege of designing Melissa’s closet at her previous house and just completed her dressing room at her new home. And, I’m thrilled to reveal the final creation on CLOSETPHILE!
Melissa is a genuine soul. Happy she found a good man to share her life with.
I'm not in show business nor do I have a large house, but this was SO EDUCATIONAL! Seeing the process of talking with the client and her stylist, evaluating the layout of her old closet and then conjuring functional (and beautiful) storage space was really inspiring to me. Thank you, Lisa, and Melissa, for allowing us to join you in the creation of this gorgeous dressing room.

I ❤️ how you took her childhood memory with her Mom and Dad modernized it and brought it to life. I was crying at how beautiful that moment was.
Plus the bond you and Melissa had/have. I totally see you both as life long girlfriends hanging out...and lastly this video should be your pitch for a TV show. This video has turned me into a minimalist. All that stuff made my blood pressure soar and would totally stress me out. My definition off hell. The after was lovely because if you have that stuff at least you don’t have to see it all.

Thank you very much specially to Melissa Rivers cause it was very well explained. She showed the reality of a closet, not just the nice bag and shoes, all the divisions for jeans and shirts, the every day shoes and sneackers, how she really use the shoes 😂 the best! ...really she inspired me cause she was real, a real construction of a wradrobe with job and effort!!! Compliments, do more videos like that!

Have to say I got a giggle out of a few commenters’ remarks. You click on a LA Closet Design video with Melissa Rivers expecting what? Minimalism? Anyway, I enjoyed the design process from conception to build and final reveal. Especially poignant were Melissa’s childhood memories with mom and dad in their New York dressing room. How important it is to create spaces that evoke love within us! Thanks, Melissa, for that reminder.
