I played on G-alto. I think Telemann was more familiar to the use of alto in G than we today think. Some cantatas with obligato recorder, double concerto for recorder and flute, and this C major concerto provide us good examples.
@@ReiInoueThank you! It can't be easy at first. You play on SibMaj to ear in C maj. I've played recorder 1 from the Brandbourg concerto 4 with a recorder in G (read F major) and it's much more pleasant. It avoids the F# with the knee.

Did you play this on a G or F alto? It's one of the few pieces that immediately strikes me as being much more comfortable on a G alto
