I’m being beating the game on every character rn I’m currently almost done with mooshu on the 3rd play through. This game just simply doesn’t get boring.
I think that Pirate is objectively a better game then Wizard. Pirate has better graphics, more animations, a better storyline and ivendove Pirate and Wizard have the same worlds, Pirate worlds are more realistic. The problem with Pirate are that it isn't as simple as Wizard, you don't have anything to do after you completed your quests(especially as a player with no crowns), there are no players and because of that there is no community. But the worst thing about Pirate is that you don't have a need to get stronger as in Wizard where you just need these epic looking high level spells or the powerful rare gear that everyone is talking about.
When I first played this game I was 15, broke asf... But at that time they implemented the "free crowns" icon and I used to watch videos for like 10 crowns, eventually I unlocked 2 places.... That's it.. End of story, also the icon stopped worked.
I love ads, I know it sounds weird, but sites like to think ads are inconvenient and therefore people will eventually buy the game. I, however, am cheap af and hate paying for things when I can 'watch' and ad and mess around on my phone for a few seconds. Grinding ads was fun for a while, but then it stopped working and I eventually stopped playing 'cause the game was dying anyways and I wasn't paying for a lonely game.
I'm level 20 and I do trivia to pay the areas! It's 100 crowns everyday and it takes 30 minutes a day if you know the answers! Now I have to buy cool ranch and I have to do 20 days of trivia but I'm tired of it 😭 make the game free to play and make updates !!! This game had better potential then wizard
i agree honestly. I stopped playing P101 for the reason of doing trivia for crowns cause im a free player i dont have money lol. I LOVE the game and did the trivia but after awhile all that grind gets so tiring! And it takes so long too. I slowly stopped doing trivia ad in turn stopped playing P101. Another things is when you buy a area you have to get all of that back and sometimes even over that amount to buy more ares. Cause when you done with a story quest for that area you bought you gonna buy another one right after XD i was just so done

Tbh, liked Pirate more than wizard because of the companion system, I liked the crew system and the chessboard battle system than standing around and summoning monsters.
As a kid i loved pirate 101 , it’s still my favorite game of all time. I love it way more than Wiz also. This game is very close to my heart and will forever be. Sad to see it be abandoned and slowly die over the years 😔

heres my two cents as a relatively experienced player, originally it wasn't like this. you could progress all the way to the point where you're about to gain your parent's ship. with the revamp of the cave quests, more content was put behind a paywall... HOWEVER, while yes newly created players can only access one of the three new questlines, accounts created before the update can access the two new questlines, pretty much everything up to the point where you gain your parent's ship (jonah town, the presidio and all that jazz) which gets you to around level 12ish. I personally think that its rather shady, they've shortened the free to play experience for new members and put otherwise free content behind a paywall, however, the shittiest thing I've found with all of this is the fact that pirate allows characters made before the update to access the new storylines free of charge, again its all just shady to me
If you made an account early enough in the games lifespan you get all of the first skyway free, up until your second ship. Even after the change to move the paywall to bloodshoals, my account still kept the rest of it free.
I hate Pay to Win Games but what i hate more is Pay to progress to the other 80% of the game without being bored as hell, that is what Wizard and Pirate do, 6 years ago i absolutely loved these games, i tried wizard again and after level 6 im here fighting kraken so much times just to make the Experience bar halfway.

I have had this game for 8 years and never have i ever payed until 2019. it was sad since kids have to pay to play a "free" game, but it was sort of worth it since its new content i have never seen :')
I played this game 8 years ago and got all to level 16 just grinding because I didn't have a membership and didn't want to pay for crowns as an 8-year-old. Just came back to it. Nothing has changed but I will not spend another year trying to get up 9 levels.
I made it to level 45 without a membership. Once I got it, I leveled for next couple weeks until I maxed out. Was so much more fun with a subscription!

I also just remember playing it when I was younger and having my account mysteriously deleted. It was when it was fairly new, so I'm sure there were still a lot of bugs, but it never said I was banned, it just reset itself. I logged in and it brought me to the tutorial. Odd. At least I didn't buy anything, but that's probably the main reason I wouldn't spend my time with this game again.
Can’t you normally not access the Blood Shoals caves? I remember back in the day you had to pay to enter or did they update that in my absence? I thought you can’t go past level 6 unless you grinded like a mad man.
you need to remake this video to reflect the fact that it took me 4 days to install p101 due to LAN errors and i completed the 2024 freetoplay content in about 3 hours
I used to be free player and to play Ki trivia to get crowns free every day i played 10 games (max you can play) to earn 100 crowns i did that and i stopped at monquista just from doing that now i work so i can buy membership

Wizard101 isn't dead at all. However, Pirate101 has been dead for a couple years sadly.

I remember jonatown (dont know the name) was free. And you were able to get a quest for a dungeon which had monkeys in it.
