      @@modtomodern You are obviously talking about crowded cities with lots of buildings and people like Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto etc. but geographically, they occupy the far smaller areas than the countrysides. You are only seeing the bad side of Japan.

      That's exactly how I feel!! It's nice to know there are others out there with similar feelings. I was put off Japan and Japanese for the longest time because of weeaboos and how hectic Tokyo looked, but the history, food, and traditional homes are really amazing and now I want to visit. :)

      I live somewhere like the one in the video, in Hiroshima. It's fucking depressing and you'll get sick of it after a week or 2. Unfortunately for me I've stayed here for what will be 3 years in a month...

      they were using asian countries and slaughtered so many people in the past. glad that they have changed so much since they lost the war in 1945, thanks to allied countries that brought peace to the world.

      If you grew up in the desert Southwest which is where I'm at oh, I believe you might just hate Japan because of the overcrowding. I've been there four times for a total of two and a half years. So I know both places. I crunched the numbers back in the 80s. Imagine taking all the people in the United States and putting them into Arkansas. That's what it's like in Japan.

    Funny how Japanese countryside, where it follows the river looks a wee bit like Gatlinburg Tennessee, just a lot less built up. I remember fishing in the river that goes thru Gatlinburg with my grandpa, catching rainbow trout. While there were people up above us at their hotel balcony on the side of the hill watching us, just amazed that there were trout in this 100% natural river flowing thru town. Yeah the river/trout were there long before everything got built up.

    Oh the very same swallows. Here in the North of Scotland they return from Africa in April and build their mud nests in our sheds, and stay till September. Having grown at least two broods. Love them.

    Amazing! I feel familiar with the countryside of Japan. I live in Costa Rica and there's like those rural areas. However, there's a bit more of trash on some places and our streets are in bad conditions 😂😂😂

    i was here in this countryside as a contract worker back in 1989, was great experienced to live here in a short time. very natural living people are friendly and the farm of green tea are breath taking views

    I absolutely love japan and its people.Tradition and respect for each other resonates in my mind. The television channel from japan exudes positive programs and highlight some of the most beautiful countryside.And they provide excellent transportation info to get there. Before I die We will see Kyoto and Hokaido🐸

    i tried this last year, I explored country side using the jr pass takayama hokuriku area tourist pass, literally stopping at every station and finally reaching Shirakawago...what an experience!!! I will try again next time after the lockdown.

    I lived in Japan 1 yr..I lived in Ube City in Yamaguchi-ken, the countryside around Ube City is amazing such as Maruo which I traveled to everyday as part of my training, ..but also I took the train to visit as far as Shimonoseki and Kagoshima at the southern tip of Kyushu..I tell you, Japanese countryside is extremely beautiful, well-landscaped, spanking clean, very artistic the way the Japanese mix nature and human intervention, it all blends so nicely what nature has to offer and what the Japanese people produce with their own hands..

    Do you live there? How is the cost of living there? Is it foreigners friendly and is it as beautiful/ serene as it looks or the reality is completely different? I have been extremely amazed by Japan's countrysides, I really wanted to live there since 19 years old. Now I am 26. My dream didn't fade away yet :(.
