Why and How I Prepare RO/DI in the Shower

  • I was thinking about the temperature limitations of RO/DI units, specifically the RO membrane, as well as keeping the clean water temperature warm to match the Discus tank (84 F) during the upcoming winter cold season. To address my concerns I decided to move the operation from the garage to indoors permanently using the guest bath shower, but not in a way that will irritate my wife (or me, or our guests).

Your discus are showing great growth since you got them in! What is your feeding/water changing schedule?

40% every 4th day, 3 cubes of my beefheart mix twice a day and discus granuals and flake once daily. This is reduced from the earlier feeding and water change schedule. I am looking forward to reducing further when they are a little bigger to twice daily feedings. Thanks for noticing
