I found Discovery to be surprisingly epic. I only watched the first 2 seasons when they were released and about to watch the rest.
Dude being high and having never watched star trek anything and having only watched the season when it first came out, this was fucking tough.

Just finished binging Se4 and needed a recap of the other seasons.
As others have said, I could just read the wiki, but I'm at work now and trying to recap before watching s2 later, so this is a nice listen for me.

I watched all four seasons besides the fifth that just came out but that was years ago. I do not recall season one being so convoluted and ridiculously and needlessly complex as it was.
About intro... Isn't DSC set in an ALTERNATE timeline (kelvin) compared to TOS (prime) ?
No, Discovery is set in the Prime timeline, the same timeline as TOS.
The singular issue that has confused me is none of the episodes have titles.It is hard to get into a new series without some form of reference if that makes sense.Am I the only ST fan that feels this way?......DISCUSS!!

Exactly. Kirk would have destroyed Kronos. Wiping out the homeworld would not be genocide. The Klingons have plenty of colonies. Would have removed them as a threat.

You know a lot happened in a season if after watching a recap your still confused.
it's confusing because this guy is just monotone reciting the wikipedia article. if someone actually put effort into it they could make it easier to follow.
Seriously, I can recall the events of 2-4 just fine but I wanted to recap season 1. Wasn't prepared to re*discover no pun intended how complex and ridiculous season 1 was.

too much happening in S1...and frankly not very interesing...I gave up after a few eps..but came back for Season 2...may try season 3...but that's it. Not interesting enough...The Star Trek magic is not as strong as it used to be! Thanks

I gave up on this show 3 episodes in. I just couldn't handle Burnham, and how she basically goes unpunished for the first and only mutiny in ST lore. She gets a life sentence 2nd episode... early 3rd episode, she's already fighting and working again for StarFleet 🙄
