I've been binge watching this pod last 2 months. I can't get enough. How did this pod go under the radar, at least for me. I loved SNL growing up and into my adult years. My whole family used to stay up and watch. And Dana and Spade were part of the crews we loved the most. Golden years. Made us all laugh despite all the problems in the world. I have to say this episode with Fallon made me laugh the most out of all the guests so far (haven't watched all but I'm on pace to do so in a month). The riffing between Dana and Fallon is priceless.
From this interview - I would totally agree. From casually seeing him on SNL - he broke character constantly, even when it was not the norm. But the "Barry Gibb talk show" skit was geniusly funny. The talk show of his - didn't watch a lot of that, but he does seem to work with whatever the guest wants to do 100%, which is nice. So disliking him means not knowing him enough, at least from my experience.
THERE WAS NO INTERVIEW! What a unique episode! Dana or David might start to ask a question, but it immediately turns into just three guys riffing, with the occasional little bit of narrative, Chris Farley style, "Hey, remember that bit...", and then BAM!, out of the blocks, they're all improvising on the joke, which reminds them of another and another. HILARIOUS! What is so interesting is that you STILL learn alot about Jimmy Fallon, just by greater interest in goofin' with Dana and David than talking about himself. These three guys are amazing...
This is the best podcast from FotW podcast….I laughed so hard. Fallon is so funny, his impressions are gold including him doing Rock but the Arnold bit with Dana was epic. Love these guys and love this podcast.
Fallon's impressions are not always stellar. His Dennis Miller is terrible. I was like, "Who's he doing? Some weirdo?" And then I realized he was trying to do Dennis but the voice and a couple other things are insanely wrong.
"John would come over and hit me over the head with his guitar and say let's go get some pudding." I was sitting here crying from laughing so much during that segment 😂
I will never forget he and Horatio doing the "Cork soaker" bit, 2 guys who help make the wine by soaking the corks. "We've been soaking corks for many years". Right up there with Schweti Balls.
I remember the first time I saw Jimmy Fallon on SNL. Lorne was in the monologue and Jimmy had a walk-on and lines with Lorne. It was as close to a personal endorsement of a new cast member as I've ever seen Lorne do. I turned to the person I was with and said "I guess we've just entered the Jimmy Fallon Era."
What a great fucking show, the stories, the impressions, all great. Truly feel like a fly on the wall. My new fav podcast. Now I've got to go back through all of them.
*Eastside Low Bottoms sh*t !* _Tappin' in from South Central LA_ I can't lie, it was always hilarious to me to see Jimmy break during sketches. Debby Downer at Disney World, The Luv'ahs with Drew Barrymore, Blue Oyster Cult, the clothing store sketch, the leather salesman. Especially when he and Horacio Sans were together. I have his 'Best Of' DVD as well.
I’m so excited for this!!!! I love all three of y’all!! 37:07 is the first time I’ve heard Jimmy say the f-word…..very eerie to my ears- then I realize that he’s quoting someone so it doesn’t really count.🧐
Kind of funny when Jimmy pointed out the similarities between Sandler and Smeigel's voices. Insult the comic dog first came out I would have sworn it was Sandler but it turned out to be Smeigel
Surprisingly, Spades got a better Dennis Miller than Jimmy Fallon. Jimmy's sounds a bit like Will Ferrell doing Harry Carrey. Dana's Miller is better than the real thing.
Towards the end of this I was disappointed that they didn't bring up Jimmy's reputation for breaking character and laughing during sketches but then Jimmy brings it up when talking about the cowbell sketch. I couldn't believe it almost got cut from the show. I know Lorne didn't like the laughing but it was usually funny. I think the one sketch where every person broke was the Debbie Downer with Lindsay Lohan as host and it was hilarious.
Several times Jimmy was doing impressions I thought he was doing Travolta... and he never did a Travolta lol. Damn good Sandler lol. Love Jimmy! So handsome too
Love show. Spade please do another sitcom I've watched just shoot me and rules of engagement a million times they play in my garages tv 24/7 u r my "radio"
When Farley yells that he's hungry during the high school girl sketch is there a sound effect added or is he playing the acoustics of room. He sounds like he's channeling Linda Blair.
Hands down the funniest podcast yet from you amateurs. Perhaps across all genres of comedy! Absurd levels of talent reside in these three honkys. 3 people were not in whatever hole in the wall you people are using for audio only podcasts...It was at least 10 people. I listen and watch comedy practically 24x7, and this joint had me belly laughing for nearly the duration. Spade does suck hind teat a little bit, but hey, he's Spade. We love him and his sightly above average comedic stylings anyway! Also, COME A GIT SUM!
You guys never sucked, there was at time just before you that became boring, and then all changed! Don’t know why or when, but a spark brought some of the most funniest icons SNL ever had!! And you’re still kicking, and relevant, this pod is gold. 😉 And one of the interesting and funniest pods out there!😂 People start sharing, sub’ing and likening or say good buy to top tier free context.
Guys, Adam Sandler supposedly bought the rights to the Korean film Hello Ghost. I love this movie and it wasn’t the best time as some of his stuff was tanking. I’d love to know if he’s still doing it. I really think it’s a beautiful film with a great ending but it wouldn’t be a typical comedy. I dunno, if you talk to him mention it. I hope it’s done better than every other time America fails to recreate a Korean film.
Jimmy's Dennis impression is hilariously bad (in a good way) compared to Dana & David's. Dana said something about it being very exuberant for Dennis and that's true but more importantly it's as if Travolta, ala Danny Zuko or Vinnie Barbarino, tried doing an impression of Dennis Miller. Whether that was the intent or not it was absolutely hilarious to me.
Jimmy starting to impersonate Dennis Miller turned into Will Ferrell impersonating Harry Carey! 🤣🤣🤣
Daniell Erickson, you are so correct.
His "Dennis Miller" is terrible.
💯🤣
THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT😂
I've been binge watching this pod last 2 months. I can't get enough. How did this pod go under the radar, at least for me. I loved SNL growing up and into my adult years. I wish this ran much longer; priceless podcast!!! 👏👏👏🏆🏆🏆🔥🔥🔥
Comedy Gold. 3 of my comedic heroes telling stories. Peace and Love and comedy forever man
Say what you will. Fallon can hang with Dana on the impressions, all day
Best interview ever! I can't remember laughing so hard. Thanks for the fun!
That was worth it for the octopus gardens 🤣❤️🇳🇿
Literally laughed for an hour at this pod
I don’t know how anyone can dislike Fallon. Tons of talent and is a very likable guy.
He's annoying as fuck
Jimmy is great with guys ! Oh , the memories come flooding back ! Laughed so hard i cried ! My damn ribs are killing me !

Dueling Paul McCartney’s, and Dennis Millers’s is one of the funniest things I’ve ever heard.
David: It's not even in his act. I just made that up. 🤣🤣🤣
"Dana and David, Dave and Dana" I love soo much how u give credit, and explain how, and I've seen Bob Dylan and it was freaking tremendous!
One of the best episodes yet, these guys are gold
53:45 all three of them doing Casey Kasem impressions rapid fire. My God this is so freaking great. Absolute hilarity. They are so freaking funny!!!!
I so badly wanted that bit to go on longer
Best impressions ever!!! It may be your best show! So much fun.
Loved the Neil Young & Dylan impressions ~ steller!!! Jimmy's killer with impressions.
'The Wrong Missy' is so good! I have to watch it once or twice a year. That and 'The Do Over' Excellent!
This was hilarious fun. So many laugh out loud moments.
Fallon's impressions are not always stellar. His Dennis Miller is terrible. I was like, "Who's he doing? Some weirdo?" And then I realized he was trying to do Dennis but the voice and a couple other things are insanely wrong.
Definitely one of the best interviews so far!
That’s one of their best! Thanks fellas
That story on Jerry Lewis was hilarious. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Thank you!!!!
Too funny!
These guys are spazzing out on bits left and right!!.....Love it!!!
17:15 lol "I'm not to going to be reduced to noises today, gentlemen" - David
20:38 hahaha callback!
Dana’s impressions are gold😂
That is some funny shtuff, some wild-wild shtuff he has...
"John would come over and hit me over the head with his guitar and say let's go get some pudding." I was sitting here crying from laughing so much during that segment 😂
Hitlers Hemeroids! 😂 Great mogul course. Spade Killin it.
I will never forget he and Horatio doing the "Cork soaker" bit, 2 guys who help make the wine by soaking the corks. "We've been soaking corks for many years". Right up there with Schweti Balls.
Jimmy and Horatio made me laugh harder than everybody else combined
this is my fav new podcast / channel.
This is genius comedy….especially the Beatles impersonations….Great
Can’t go wrong with Mr.Fallon 🥰🥰🥰
Excellent show.
My favorite Spade's body of work is the FBI agent Clarissa Starling he played in Silence of the Lambs...
😂

It was as close to a personal endorsement of a new cast member as I've ever seen Lorne do. I turned to the person I was with and said "I guess we've just entered the Jimmy Fallon Era."
Awesome as always. "Chopping Broccoli ", I believe was inspired from Dennis De'yong while in Styx. Just an observation but i though I would share it.
I harder at this episode than any other. 😂
What a great fucking show, the stories, the impressions, all great. Truly feel like a fly on the wall. My new fav podcast. Now I've got to go back through all of them.
Dana Carveys David Spade is hilarious
Fallon trying to impersonate Arnold...sounding like Danny Zuko from Grease 😂
Just listened for a second time and laughed harder!!!
*Eastside Low Bottoms sh*t !*
_Tappin' in from South Central LA_

David has the best laugh. No front no posing, he just reverts back to a kid
53:07 I could take an hour of just this!
Fallon can get a bit annoying at times but holy cow is he talented! Those Sandler impressions were so perfect.
Great episode! Love the musical comedy.
Impressions are great
The Kasey Kasem stuff absolutely killed me.🤣💀
54:00 something lol good lord the Casem barrage!
Jimmy is very good at smoothing over any difficult, uncomfortable moment. He interviewed these two more than they interviewed him. Class act.
This cracking me tf up😂😂😂
I wish we had video for these.
Love you guys ❤. Jimmy is the best. His Adam Sandler is spot on 😂
Dana, I think you're right about peak formative power at 12. I find I enjoy the music from 1979 most. Is your music year from age 12 as well?
Surprisingly, Spades got a better Dennis Miller than Jimmy Fallon. Jimmy's sounds a bit like Will Ferrell doing Harry Carrey. Dana's Miller is better than the real thing.
Exactly
This is like a lost comedy album. So much fun.
Carvey’s Trump is incredible
Hilarious! ROFL esp the last quarter you wild & crazy guys!! 😅 💜 💜 💜
Love the podcast. Wish put in on video
Y’all are a hoot! 😂
Omg, the Casey Kasem bit was wicked funny...

Why not get Carvey, Spudly, Sandler,Fallon, Wig, Shannon, Murphy, some others & start a sketch show that would that would blow everything else away🤔
Great podcast! So many laughs. Fallon can't hold a candle to Dana and David. He's lucky they asked him to come on the show
This was possibly your best podcast ever! You guys were stumbling over each other to remember and do impersonations. HA! The podcast seem to fly by! 🪰
Several times Jimmy was doing impressions I thought he was doing Travolta... and he never did a Travolta lol. Damn good Sandler lol. Love Jimmy! So handsome too
Why don't they use video for these interviews?
I know right? I think it would be amazing to see them interacting...
13:00 dang it, Why didn't they freakn ask him to do Jim Morrison????? It is exactly Jim born again
Please do tribute shows for Norm and Phil Hartman
Out of the park!
Love show. Spade please do another sitcom I've watched just shoot me and rules of engagement a million times they play in my garages tv 24/7 u r my "radio"
Have you watched his cartoon show on TH-cam? Sammy! From the 90s It’s hilarious so dry
Dude their Dennis Miller impressions.. awww man, Dana’s is legit but Fallon sounds like Snagglepuss and Andrew Dice Clay hahaha
True lol exit stage left even....
I was thinking Harry Carey
When Farley yells that he's hungry during the high school girl sketch is there a sound effect added or is he playing the acoustics of room. He sounds like he's channeling Linda Blair.
Jimmy Falloon. Giggling boy.
Great comparison that Dana made between Jimmy and the early Beatles, so true!

Also,
COME A GIT SUM!
David saying he would wanna just watch the first season from the sidelines is why chevy chase is so good and for the record I agree
Yeah; Jimmy’s Dennis impression is what someone else commented, the voice of Snagglepuss, but with Ed Wynn and Paul Lynde mixed in.
Love the Jimmy caught the Dennis Miller nuance a different hook that is definitely there. But he's reminding me of some other actor with that voice.
Fallon’s dennis miller impression sounds like will ferrell harry caray
Interesting to hear you talk about vocabulary when I've heard you misuse the word "touchstone" so many times on the cast.
44:55
I have never heard you guys riff so hard! I crapped my pants. Please do it again. Get Will Farrel!
And today Sting is 71. Still looks super young
37:00😂😂😂😂😂
Fallon's Dennis Miller is 1/2 Miller, 1/2 Will Ferrell as Harry Caray 😅😅
It's about time they invite someone from SNL 🤣
Jimmy Fallon was always very funny. He is a very funny comedian and very positive.
i got confused and thought jimmy was saying he went to the Autism charity in full character as Dracula, omg dear god plz do this
fallon's impression of dennis miller sounds more like a mix of andrew dice clay and ed wynn
You guys never sucked, there was at time just before you that became boring, and then all changed!
Don’t know why or when, but a spark brought some of the most funniest icons SNL ever had!!
And you’re still kicking, and relevant, this pod is gold. 😉
And one of the interesting and funniest pods out there!😂
People start sharing, sub’ing and likening or say good buy to top tier free context.
@marywebb9088 not to sure why my age matters to you?😁
Because you have no idea, I started watching SNL from the first show, deduct that Sherlock!😉

Jimmy’s produce bit sounded more like Seinfeld!
Please please start doing video!
daverino is in fine form
Pills for ADHD just make you feel less bad about not being able to have concise thoughts. lol

Hey. I'm listening in 2023 and he talked about having "Gleep Glorp" on the show and.... I'm asking... HOW DID THEY KNOW?!?!?!?!
Kajagoogoo! Too Shy!
