Dana and Nealon and Lovitz were the cast members who were the nicest to me and even tried to write me into their sketches because I wasn't good at writing sketches. xxoo
Sweet
Victoria you were awesome. you were a compliment to any sketch you were in...the real deal
Hey Victoria. I always loved you at SNL. Thank you so much.
Loved you in snl and on uhf, Victoria! Your class was my favorite
Word
Officially can't stop listening to this podcast. Loving the dynamics. Thanks Dana and David!
My favorite Lovitz story is when Norm talks about playing tennis with him. Classic
The People’s Court sketch with Jon Lovitz playing the Devil has always slayed me from day one! Sometimes when I just want to be happy and have a good laugh I pull up that monster. Everyone in it was brilliant
Literally my favorite sketch of Jon’s
LOL and Jan Hooks always played such a convincing country hick. She was great in that as the mother ("She don't know nothin bout a SOUL, or ETERNITY...") and also in the diner sketch with Alec Baldwin where they just went at eachother with innuendo
@@nopejoeandangie and in Pee Wee’s BA: “Thars no basement in the Ayl-uh- Mowww!” thanks for remembering her as well
My fave line from that sketch: Judge: "Mister Mephistopheles, _please_ !" (Phil Hartman)
@@ChrisZ70 “ … you may hold dominion over the nether regions, but I run this court!”
Jon is a national treasure
Agree!
JEALOUS??
I missed a line in Toonces? I only had one line in those sketches! "Aaaaaaghhh!" as we flew over the cliff!
What was Toonces like to work with?
@@scottnowell4975 Kind of a Prima Donna!!!
@Victoria Jackson -
You were the sprinkles, whipped cream, & cherry in every sketch you were in, Victoria. Unpredictably, boldly, uniquely, & delightfully funny.
I share both your passion and opinion on many events happening at this time and have a great deal of respect for anyone who stands up and speaks out against the BS being shoved down our throats.
My best.
Jon's character in "The Wedding Singer" was incredible.
Love that movie. I have the song that Adam sings after that downloaded from TH-cam on my phone right now
lol had to sing it all in my head just now
"He's gone crazy and I'm reaping all the benefits."
This is ladies night! His version is way better than the actual song. Lovitz is an amazing entertainer. the critic, wedding singer, so many good performances.
"good luck finding a DJ who moves and talks like this"
-or something to that effect, just hilarious.
Greatest podcast, Lovitz is as funny in person! Love the stories, overlaps, celebrity stories. I'm bad at this too, stop interrupting good stories. Harder I guess with 2 hosts
Trapped in Paradise is probably my favorite Christmas movie. My kids and I love it and laughed all the way through.
So glad you're posting this on TH-cam. Appreciate all three of you, thanks for the laughs.
xxoo Francesca!
@@TheUkulelegal 😊
Love listening to these, Jon and Dana are good friends and it shows.
Love Jon lovitz he’s so funny Ty for this great podcast u guys are great David and Dana really enjoy this😁🇨🇦🇨🇦
Lovitz is a legend!! Loved this interview…
The Critic is Jon's best work.
He was in Passion of the Chris
Adore Jon Lovitz. ❤
Spade should do an interview with himself and the dueling David Spades just talk over each other while a calm jazz band plays in the background BUT every 20 seconds a third surprise David Spade pops in and interrupts the original two David Spades. 🍍🍕🍍🍕
Not a single mention of "The Critic" c'mon, missed opportunity to discuss Jon's best work. "It Stinks!"
"What's the word on the street?"--loved that sketch with Lovitz and the great, great Phil Hartman. (not to mention Morgan Fairchild...who Jon's seen naked!)
One of my favorite lines ever......"My name is A Whitney Brown. Someday I hope to be THE Whitney Brown."
Jon is one of my favorites. Thank you for the interview!
When he is Picasso on SNL he is sooo great. Pathological liar was great too.
I heard Lovitz talk about "Trapped in Paradise" once live on the radio. It was the funniest thing I have ever heard in my life. I was hoping to hear some of that.
I love that movie!
Absolute honesty from legends. I bombed. I failed. I didn't get it because I was terrible. Here's a movie. You're fired. Oh, that would have taken two seconds to fix. I wouldn't know what to do. Well, I just did it now, but... Amazing insights into the mind of a comic. Thanks!!!!
Love show. Always keeps me in high spirits and super
I loved Master Thespian and with John Lithgow!
50:20 hahaha "Just to set the scene, I'm funny . David and Dana aren't". That's a Lovitz classic
Hello my name is Chris I'm 53 years old and I love this show... Thank you David, and The other guy for sacrificing your time life and putting effort into this joyful hilarious pod cast , that brings comedians together who got their start on Saturday night , and made me laugh every weekend at 1130
You don't know who Dana Carvey is?
The other guy is soo good
All big personalities with great insights into their craft.
This POD Is hilariously great 😂
Jealous? Your welcome…..miss those SNL days with all these guys.
Jon Lovitz as Michael Dukakis always cracked me up
same 😅
Lovitz as Dukakis.... little SWARTHY people Dukakis should have emphasizied you WANT the president to be competent and BORING all the exciting stuff is BAD
5000 feels like 4600 to me lol fuckin David
These little one liners they're dropping in this are killing me
Lol. It got crickets, but I love David's little sneak-ins. One of the things that makes spade so funny is he's willing to throw them in there always. Some miss, some hit, but he is golden always.
Lovitz is an Icon! I don't believe he is underrated but maybe overlooked!
All his SNL and Movie bits are classic and he definitely has the 'funny-bone'!
IMO, he has a little Dangerfield in him, where you look at him and laugh!!
Among my favorites was his episode on Seinfeld where he faked having Cancer!
Solid Gold!!!!!
Actually, I bet he was cast for Seinfeld! He could've been a great George!..LOL.
Lovitz is an icon. One of a kind.
I've listened to dozens of SNL alums talk about their experiences and they all act coy and paranoid about their many of their co-workers and co-stars and speak of Lorne Michaels as if he is He Who Must Not Be Named. It must be a truly good-ol'-boy network in show-business.
I love those cliffs that Dana and Lovitz let David go off all throughout this, but 50:28 is the best. Lmao. Fucking no reaction. Cold blooded.
The dog??!!!
JEALOUS!?
Just them repeating lines Jon Lovitz has said to them has me rolling. Who talks like this? Jon Friggin Lovitz haha
You guys think you're providing advice for up and coming comics. Yes! And, you're educating audiences. I could say you're saving SNL, and maybe the entire concept and genre of sketch and stand up comedy in this evolving society. You guys are responsible for saving comedy. You. God help us.
13:35 People who don't understand why Lovitz is a legend need only hear his voice launch into this theatrical/farcical Shakespearan projection to understand how fucking funny it was to put *That Voice* in whatever situation a depraved comedy writer can come up with. He was absolutely great at that, in "Tales of Ribaldry" and "Masterpiece Theater." There it is. That voice.
It warms my heart to hear the three of you having fun together.
I would’ve liked to hear Jon Lovitz more
😂
Dana is always so polite - oh, sorry, I interrupted you. Love all of them! Can’t get enough of them!
Levitz is hilarious. He's almost as funny as he thinks he is. And that's saying something.
Finally had a chance to listen to this episode. CLASSIC! 🤣
The lovitz period was a real ensemble. They players always brought something.
I get why people don’t like Lovitz but I always did. He was the only one who went toe to toe with Jiminy Glick without looking like a dick. Anybody remember that cartoon on Comedy Central that was hilarious
"Yeah, that's the Ticket".
David and Dana. You two guys are two of my All time favorites of the entertainment industry...that being said, " Why do you not have cameras which give us ," The Fans" who made you rich, a better experience. Even the nobodies and wannabes have video accompanying their podcasts....Don't be so cheap guys! You're David Spade and Dana Carvey for crying out loud. Pick up your game!... Best wishes, with admirations and respect, Dave ...
Best interview ever - lovitz is a story vault!
Love these podcasts! Loziz is one of my favorite SNL players.
Did I really say that about Alec Baldwin?
Jfc this is my childhood flashing before my eyes.
I told my mom about "The Back Page," and she would quote, "I oughta pound you!" even imitating Dana's voice, for decades after that. I'm not sure if she ever actually saw it.
Re: Bad Boys - check out the Dinner for Five series that Jon Favreau did when David Chase was on the show. Chase told an insane story about taking a huge crowd of friends to one of those high dollar horse races. He had a massive bet on the race and when he lost, had to come up with the money to pay for this extravaganza. He said he sat down and wrote Bad Boys and pitched it with Dana Carvey and Jon Lovitz to get himself out of hock. That was the only other time I heard that Carvey and Lovitz were attached initially until this podcast.
Saw Jon's stand up, one hilarious line he did was A survey showed the number one thing women look for in a man is a good sense of humor (pause), now I'm a pretty funny guy......(longer pause) that's all he had to say and everyone gets the joke. Heard stories about things he said while not performing and I think he really is naturally funny.
I laughed out loud when David did the Ginger theme music to describe Sharon Stone. But nobody else laughed! Go back and listen. It’s a great moment the others missed!
Omg that Victoria Jackson voice hahahahahahah
Still waiting for Dr Strangelovitz
Spade, get Patrick Warburton on here. It would be great to hear some "Rules of Engagement" stories. Miss that show.
You mean Kuzco & Kronk stories
Lovitz’s performances TODD SPANGO in MOM AND DAD SAVE THE WORLD is probably on of the funniest things I’ve ever seen...Hilarious...!!
Lovitz is great!
All are naturally funny.
I love these guys but they keep talking over each other!!! Stop it!!! LOL
Huge house? must be that Dickie Roberts money
Snl was so good when you giys were on. Also The critic was one of my favorite cartoons. Man I miss the 90s
I love how Dana pronounces "thespian" as though it rhymes with "lesbian."
Yeah that’s the ticket
Subbed! You guys rock!
I feel like I only know Lovitz ironically?
He’s a genius and one of my all time faves but I never saw him on SNL, just his cameos and weird stuff.
Some kind of weird and extremely funny chemistry happens
when you three come together. So that you know.
It's that obvious. You guys love-hate each other intensely.
Jerry the dog is adorable!
So when did Lovitz sue John Mulaney for stealing his act?
He had to steal a personality from someone.
Lovitz and Carvey carried the entire movie of "Trapped in paradise "
Just watched Lost and Found earlier. Classic.
Hey Dana, when Spade's mouth is moving, you are interrupting him. You don't have to ask.
Easy there spud
My wife and I loved the "Greenhilly" sketch. So glad that Spade brought it up.
Dana you had a sketch early on, "ByeBye, now, ByeBye!!!"
My favorite Lovitz/Carvey skit is "You Mock Me", with John Malkovich.
Lovitz needs a round 2 episode.
David saying "they had sex" deserved a massive, massive laugh. 😂
It's called podcasting!
The Yoda shi!@#$% had me crackin up! Yoda makin a pimp list for sex tools is next
Coneheads is super underrated. Hilarious movie that gets a lot of undeserved criticism
By the time he had become The Whitney Brown, A. Whitney Brown was in the original cast of "The Dailey Show."
Awesome.
These guys are so talented. I had hoped these would be better interviews, instead of....remember when we were all on SNL.....that was AWESOME (CF)! Not much depth in any of these interviews.
Spade always makes Pervy comments that Dana thankfully ignores, but it's almost every podcast. Spade always did seem like a.creep though.
David and Dana like to hear themselves talk
Pretty sure that's all comedians
Drive to get a laugh is pretty foundational for comedians
I would watch this podcast if it were VIDEO , you’re limiting your audience.
david talks too much! Jon Lovitz is the funniest person on earth! let guests talk!
As if
10:36 i heard Jon call Dana l “Will” and i thought heh, wrong show!
Why be on TH-cam and just release audio?? No video, no clicky.
Has Victoria Jackson been on yet?
Nobody wants to hear that.
She's not in the correct tribe. Let's shun her.
Starting 53:00 Jon is talking about how nice Luke Perry was to his 12 year old niece. I can't believe that they just ignored what David said at 53:36.
Should’ve maybe edited that
That thing he said about tick tok!? Woah…top notch comment 😳
David Spade LOVES to tell his "meeting Alec Baldwin" story.
If only Dr. Evil had said “Funny little poopy-head” in the movies
Middle aged man. MY SNL. (born in 82 tho)
You guys need live videos
I'm pretty sure Rita Wilson was on Bosom Buddies for an episode before that movie.
And DiCaprio was miscast in catch me if You can, Love it is a Dead ringer for Frank abagnale now, holy shit
