@@TopTierTicker lol, yeah mine took about a month of wearing it a couple times a week. I gave it a rotation or two in each wear. The coin edge prob doesn’t help either lol. All in all after it breaks in I personally like the feel. It’ll never be as low effort/easy to turn as like a seiko 5 but I like how each click sounds and feels solid with 0 backplay.
As a Thai, even Thais didn't buy this watch unless they have quite enough money to spare, since its same price rate can buy Tissot Seastar (that has 300m WR for real), we mostly do Citizen and/or Seiko, even some considered OceanX or Luminox instead

"Researth shows"... umm 904L was made to be more corruption resistant... Get the mechanical engineers handbook and you will be able to see the charts for both the metals and how they compare in different qualities. 904L is harder, so the machining tools also need a higher hardness to machine it. The difference between the alloys don't matter in reality for the purpose of a watch, but its jewelry and shiney is good, so in that sense it can be an upgrade.
It's not harder its softer than 316 but has a slight difference with % of materials used like nickel, chromium, etc. so gives a slight better resistance to corrosion.
Does the anti refelctive coating work? Many watches claim to have it yet when you see them in person they dont. Usually from my understanding if you reflect a light source such as a light bulb on the glass and it apears shrunken its got it but does this happen with this watch?
I’d say it’s closer to a budget 62 mas than a sub… regardless, thanks for the vid. My ad8 is one of my fav watches and the bezel breaks in after wearing it for a few day.
I see the 62mas comparison with the case shape and dial layout... I've been wearing this one for two weeks now and it hasn't loosened yet, I guess I need to be a little more twisty 😂
The hour hand is weird! Not sure it’s in a good way either. But I do like the watch. Pretty much perfect dimensions, and the finishing looks great. The dial is also not overly complicated.
It's a bit daft comparing Wise to Rolex. But Wise offer excellent VFM in the crowded and popular 'retro' market. I don't like this model, as I don't care for the hand set and dial pattern. But I do own 3 Wise watches and it's worth considering where they were just a few years ago to where they are now. I hope they can keep progressing and come up with some original designs. I regard it as a local brand, as I live in Thailand.
I wish manufacturers wouldn't put exhibition case backs on dive watches. I had considered one, but at 41m I think it's too large. The Miyota 9000 movement is very good, but a mile away from a Rolex in house. Nice watch though

It's a great watch, however if open to quartz and better accuracy and not needing to change the energy source nor service the movement for the next decade and a half, the seiko sun-mariner / solar diver is another great pick.
Rolex has tons of story. It specs +/- 2 sec per day across different positions and temperatures. On top of that it has high mag resistance. These arenever achieved by any micro brands, thus the premium price.
this might be a 41mm 904l diver but its certainly not a sub. especially not the 36mm sub. rolex would never have such a dial and a sub is not a sapphire sandwich. additionally rolex would be an in house movement and the value would be more brand based. on the wise you get nice specs and features not found on a rolex. the value on the wise is the watch itself as in craftmanship, materials used, the quality of lume, the machines necessary to use 904 orver 316, and finishing itself. its in way its more of a stealth asian omegaesque diver than a rolex
I get what you're saying. This is the watch that has personally given me the most 'Submariner' like experience though. I've had the chance to wear a few different subbies now. But I haven't found anything affordable that gives you that premium diver experience until this Wise. It's not necessarily spec for spec that makes this watch a good sub alt, it's more so the vibe of the watch... it just feels special when on the wrist. It just helps that the spec sheet is fantastic and the build quality is unbelievable.
Why does every Asian brand come up with the most ridiculous names possible, then use the biggest font they can find to put their name on the dial? You would think they would have talked about the name for more than ten seconds. Or at least hired a PR firm to test the name. It may as well say Walmart. The name brings up images of a guy in a trench coat selling on a street corner.
Reviews are SUBJECTIVE. What isn't subjective however is that Wise use the same grade of steel as Rolex... Which is a thing not many brands do. The fact is that this is a diver, black dial, good lume with great details... I think it's fair to consider this watch an affordable submariner alternative.

A submariner is 41mm and for 10 times the cost you can get -2 to +2 seconds a day rather than -10 to + 30 seconds a day, I'll go with the Wise watch
