Just based on your palettes that ranked low on your list that were powdery and had no staying power, consumers bought them and when they didn’t perform, we assume it was user error. Nowadays there’s no hiding behind the name...if you put out crap for $80, you get called out on it and consumers will not purchase it. Influencers have saved me a ton of money over the years. Surprised to see none of the original quads that came out with when Chanel reformulated on the list: Tisse Rivoli, Tisse Cambon, Tisse Camelia etc. My favourite of them was the now-discontinued Tisse Venetien (it had the surprise combination mentioned with pink and green). And to this day Tisse Rivoli is my most used super-neutral-but-not-boring gorgeous brown everyday palette.
I've never had a single Chanel eyeshadow palette. They look pretty but I don't hear a lot people using those nowadays. I guess very few people buy them for review and then forget about them. Quite sad. Thank you for the video Michele! Have a great day! :)
I bought the Chanel Eclat Enigmatique based on your review and this eye shadow quad has remained my favorite. It looks scary on the pan but is actually very pretty and versatile 👍 love it.
I got the Enigma palette in 2010. Heheh. I had seen a pixiwoo tutorial using this and I bought the palette and practised the look Sam came up with so many times so that I could recreate the look for a family wedding. And I did and got so many compliments. Hehe I don’t use it anymore and haven’t in years but I cannot get myself to throw it out. It was my first Chanel quad
super. loved the new formulas and its a shame that the older ones the formulas are not great but the colours are great! well done! Believe me I know it is actually HARD to own too many shadows!! x

I feel you! My fav is also limited addition. It’s the Lumiere Tendresse face palette. The blush is the prettiest pink ever! And the lipsticks are beautiful too. It’s just the perfect palette for a soft flowery girlie look! ❤️❤️❤️😩

This was really fun to watch, Michele! It’s hard to pick a favorite; I’ve been collecting Chanel limited edition palettes for ages... Les Indispensables really boasts great quality. I mean it SHOULD become permanent.... I was hoping she’d make it a tradition to release 9-pan palettes once a year. The Quintessence that came out right before the Indispensables is also terrific, I think it’s amazing 🥰🌷

I was surprised, but the again not, that you picked 314. That was my first Chanel palette. My second was 308 and I was going to get your #1 pick but decided not to. 314 is very similar to Tom Fords D'Hiver. I like 308 but I find it drying on my eyelids. Thanks!
Before those eyeshadows ending up in the bin, try them wet. Damp your brush/sponge, apply & blend with dry brush. The colours will be intense & the longevity will last. Hope it help.
Agree with what you said about the flower quads, looks just like kids makeup. If you like the colour story of the 358 one, you should check out CT Uptown Girl quad - probably my fave out of all her eyeshadows! Gives such a subtle, pretty everyday look despite the fact that the palette itself doesn't look very interesting xx
I am wearing your #16 today. Very basic but always looks flattering on the eye. The one palette I can never get to work is your #8. I am close to decluttering.
Thanks so much for doing this video! I only have a handful of Chanel palettes, and this was a nice reminder of which ones I want to check out. My biggest problem with a lot of the quads is that 2 of the shades always look so similar in the palette so I tend to just put them in the mental "no" pile. However your swatches really help bring out the different nuances between the similar looking shades. I don't feel like I need to get them all, but there are definitely a few in your top 10 that I'll be putting some real consideration in.

I’ve had a good few over the years but I still hanker after my perfect Neutral go to which was called Prelude. Also loved a similar replacement, a five pan called ‘Charming’. What an amazing collection! As you may know, I really love Clair Obscur. I am almost there done with my second one. I was considering the Blurry Grey as an alternative because of the shimmery shade. I think it would be a good choice in the Fall.

Thanks for finally talking me into that Clair obscur quad. I saw that quad the other day at the counter. I know it’s a very “boring” palette but it is the perfect ultimate brown quad. Great video!!!! It’s a big project ranking all of these🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

What an amazing collection! As you may know, I really love Clair Obscur. I am almost there done with my second one. I was considering the Blurry Grey as an alternative because of the shimmery shade. I think it would be a good choice in the Fall.
The only one I own is your #1 the indispensable. It is so great for travel with all the color options. I prefer my TF & Viseart if Im at home. Fun video!

I actually collected a lot of Chanel Palettes between 2011- 2015 and then I just gave up because they were terrible in formula
If I could have any palette in the NEW formula it would be The LES 4 Ombres Quadra Eye Shadow # 33 Prélude
