    I just love this Connie, so brilliant and gently loving. I lost my son and father a few years back and had a lot of trauma in my
    life plus aging, soon to be 64. This system s method is so helpful for me because there are simply days that I don’t have a lot of energy or feel good… this works so much better than goals. Many blessings and appreciation to you and for you!

    Thank you connie I struggle a lot if I have 2 good days I can have 5 bad days I’m been really trying to decluttering my small home but no matter how hard I try I never seem to achieve a happy place I’ve had a lot of mental trauma in my life my goal is to get in a place that I’m clutter free and be able to find things in my home rather than having to search for days and have a clear kitchen with worktops free to work on instead of being lined with stuff I’m feeling very overwhelmed 😭

      You can do it. Celebrate every small success with a feeling of gratitude to yourself. Feel the gratitude. The more you practice this, this positive energy will give you the strength to keep going. And you will keep moving forward. be hugged

      You are on the right track. Listening to your body and taking breaks when needed. Baby steps, baby steps! Declutter a small corner of your counter top, then stop and appreciate the work you did. Repeat this process each day until the counter is cleared. Having a clutter free environment is soothing and relaxing.
      You've got this!
      Sending you happiness and peace

    Thanks, Connie, for uploading. I can see systems are kinder to our minds and body, rather than a goal, which is either hit or missed. In other words, a more gentle way of achieving what we want in life, without the pressures associated with setting goals.

    Thank you so much for this. I’m recovering from breast cancer treatment and am approaching my 70th birthday. Recovery is slower than I had hoped, but I’m gradually decluttering. I have to accept slow progress on many fronts, so the idea of accepting the journey rather than yearning for the goals has touched my heart and soul, as so many of the things you talk about do. Xx

    Thank you Connie for this video. In the past few months I have learned that many of my health issues I've had is from a brain injury to my Limbic system. I am trying to retrain and gently heal this, and while it is working (slowly) I find I am trying to get too many things in my day.
    I have sat down trying to create a system for me, but really not sure what that looks like since I keep changing it into a schedule to make things fit. (Which doesn't work at all).
    Could you expound your systems so I can understand a little better what that may look like? Thank you again. You are inspiring me.

    • @ConnieRiet
      @ConnieRiet  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! I can relate to adjusting daily to accommodate brain injury issues and fatigue. I find that there is usually a battle between what my mind thinks I "should" be doing and what my body is able to do. The more I can tune into what my body needs, the less burned out I get. A system would be to create time blocks throughout the day. Example: 1 hour for work, one hour self-care, one hour social time with family, one hour work..... In my designated time I stay focused on the assigned task, doing as much as possible.
      Time blocks works well for me. The key is to find systems that work best for you and your life.
      Sending you happiness & peace
