    Haha! Seeing both fugaku and apx se in one hand, on TH-cam?! So nice seeing them besides headfi, channel is growing!

      I am part of head fi too haha! But to be fair I have local retailers that are willing to loan me things. I do buy things from them for a fair price usually and rather often, but more than half of what you see on my channel is courtesy of them loaning me including this apx se!
      But most importantly i just want to bring honest comparison without all biasness/business decisions. It’s really fun to try all this stuff all the time.

      @@ZPProductions yeah 100%, I’m aware. Still it’s super cool to see whereas the „mainstream” channels like Gizaudio and others are… bad to say the least. Independent view always appreciated, especially for such exclusive gear we are all interested to hear about on headfi
      I love MK475 too, i modded mine with bigger better op amps for pre and output stages. Lovely combo with Traillii that you can plug to daps.. or desktop dacs:)

      @@kajetan9550 I did try both and own the mk475 though I don’t roll it. For rolling I stick to my aroma a100tb. The trailli is quite different from both of this guys. Bigger and brighter then the fugaku but less aggressive and lighter in the sound. The apx has a much smaller sound stage but better bass and a treble that has more bite.

      @@ZPProductions i mean you have to open mass kobo and solder the stock jrc opamps out and solder new stuff in. My friend did that for me for really fun results. If apx has more bite then it is of no interest to me. Fugaku though sounds like sth I’d enjoy

      I think there was quite some interest in this. Just finally got to try and have a first a look on them

      @@ZPProductionswhich iems do you think have better soundstage than apx Se 😮 other than fugaku. i have heard some people say that the apx Se has more than some ultra high end headphones

    • @ZPProductions

      Im pretty sure all my open back headphones have more soundstage than it. Only close backs portable types will have smaller than it haha.
      Hmm Maestro SE will definitely has a bigger sound then it. Likely Noble Onyx too. Oriolus Trailli has bigger sound than Fugaku. That said other than sound stage, those listed above have their own downsides when compared.

    Uhhh very nice, seems like fugaku really does something different than the APX. Stock APX is good but with fine tuning I’m curious how it stacks up.
    Waiting for fugaku demo arrive in my country and try it with my own ears. APX is going away if fugaku really impresses me. 😢

    • @ZPProductions

      It’s quite different really. The fugaku to me is like an iem closest to perfection. However it is not a particular master in anything but having a unique powerful, clear yet full bodied mids. It’s quite different from apx really

    • @alfredhutomo

      Updates: Got my hands on with tsuranagi v2 and tested it with my APX SE. certainly Brise know how to make a good amp, it really makes the mids alive with exceptional soundstage I would say. Had the a100tb with psu never thought that aroma is very coloured until the tsuranagi. I mean if Brise can make 2 channel this good how about 16 on the fugaku 😂. You should do a round 2 on the tsuranagi v2

      @@alfredhutomo I had the original tsurangi at one point. I really love portable amp haha. But v2 I yet to test so not sure any quantifiable improvements

      try lp6 ti ae or ti with apx, comparable with desktop setups tbh

    Thanks for the great review. Can you eventually remember how the Kinera Loki would stand against it/them? (Imo for example Loki is superior in resolution, soundstage, imaging and holography to u12t and Annihilator 23)

    • @ZPProductions

      Tough. Memory is definitely not a good thing. Apx definitely got a superior treble and bass control but likely a similar or smaller sound stage

  • @Sonola777

    How does this compare to the Canpur 622B and Fatfreq Grand Maestro? Large gap between those two, or slim to none?

    • @ZPProductions

      Hmmm I can’t really remember but likely other then sound stage which I feel the Apx is on the smaller side, everything else apx should be similar or better from the technical stand point.
      However it depends on the tonality and both 622b and grand maestro likely have their own audience. The apx from what I remember compared the other 2 is quite different in the general tone and treble

    did u try a lot of tips, heard qpx se is very tuneable.

    • @ZPProductions

      Only tried two tips. On general tips tune the sound significantly due to it affected fit and insertion depth. I tried the default and baroque and on general I prefer the baroque due to its more open sound though it results in more elevated treble

    Comparing it to FF MSE or RN6 is mush better than those iems ?

    • @ZPProductions

      Hmm the apx is better but it depends what you looking for. There are a couple of category then ff mse wins such as sound stage while rn6 especially at higher volume, the base feel and tuning feels like a concert in the head which you can’t get with the apx. But beyond those specific fields, I think the apx is rather superior over them.
