Worked in the nursing field and experienced many forms of abuse and discrimination. Not many would stand up for more patients and saw even this as patient myself. More people need to speak up about this. Remember nurses are possibly their last voice of defense. Nurses aren't given the respect they deserve.
I’m from NJ and a retired nurse. More of this needs to take place. Good nurses are a precious commodity. Just being a voice especially for patients who may or may not appear to have a voice of many atrocities that have and do take place behind the proverbial closed doors. I’m happy a found your videos.
The amount of lives that Nurses have saved is not being given the credit that they truly deserve. Many correcting the mistakes made by Drs.saving their patients. Remain informed and vigilant. Speak out against injustice. Keep Aiming High Always
Thank you both for sticking together and making the right decision against the dr. Abuse! Bravo 🙌 ❤ Hope the two of you have a wonderful life! God Bless ❤
This story made me cry. I had many moments when I had to speak up to a doctor or hospital counselor. I made sure my family members got the best treatment and was treated with respect. Always have an advocate to be your voice and eyes and ears. Thank God for beautiful nurses and doctors . But they are some that are not good so BE AWARE when in the hospital or facility. God Bless good healthcare workers.❤️
I felt so bad for Ms. Clara, no one deserves to be treated the way that despicable, evil Dr. treated her. I feel like God placed Leona there Ms. Clara. They are both blessed and are a blessing to others.
I have the highest respect for this nurse. She was a hero for this patient. God bless her. The nerve of that arrogant doctor. I’m glad he admitted what he had done.
I am watching from Canada, this story is a real thing that always happens in Healthcare companies and it’s a wake up call for everyone out there. Those kind of Doctors are not wealthy to be in charge of healthcare companies. Great courage to the Nurse and ❤God bless that field is meant for you.
This story is a valuable lesson in the power of courage and determination in protecting the vulnerable. It is commendable that Leona not only stood up against an individual abusing their power but also initiated a movement to change a healthcare system that had tolerated abuse. However, the story also raises profound questions about personal responsibility in the workplace. Should all healthcare professionals react when they witness misconduct? Or will many choose silence to protect their careers? While Leona is undoubtedly a hero, the story highlights the reality that not everyone has the courage to speak up. It would be unfair to criticize those who remain silent, as they have their own fears. Yet, this cannot justify accepting abuse. The healthcare industry must foster an environment where each individual feels responsible and empowered to stand against wrongdoing. Leona is a role model for all of us, but how can we create more Leona-like figures in today’s society? This is a question that needs to be posed, and the answer will determine whether we genuinely progress in safeguarding fairness and dignity for every individual in the healthcare sector.
It doesn't matter what color of skin you are or age. What the Doctor did was wrong to a frail elderly woman he should be CARING to his patients not abuse them. Good on the kind hearted nurse for sticking up for her patient by giving love and care to her client. That nurse will move up the ranks to head of nursing. She would've made nurse nightingale really proud to have a caring nurse in her ranks.
Looking at this makes me grateful that when my mom was in the hospital (Yale) they took care of her so well. They treated her like she was a vip. She has passed now and the nurses on the floor was just as upset as we were. Need more nurses like this lady and the ones at the hospital my mom was before she passed
No matter how qualified you are but if you don't have the heart. Treated everyone equally then you are not qualified on your position. We are all equal in God eyes ❤❤
It’s a nurse’s responsibility to question Doctors care & orders at certain times. Some doctors have a “God complex” & aren’t always focused on the patient themselves. Retired Nurse here.
My heart breaks for the patient Mrs. Reynolds All human beings should be treated equally regardless of color creed or Denomination. I feel so sad for Mrs. Reynolds🙏🙏💗💗🙏🙏
This doctor's actions speak louder than words he's guilty! He was mistreating this elderly black woman, his patient. How many other patients had he done this too? And then he threatened this nurse's livihood her ability to work at a job that she went to college for and probably owes student loans. Personally, I would have taped conversations and somehow placed a hidden camera to catch him red handed. Elder abuse happens more than we think esp in nursing homes. There is much history with the medical profession regarding people of color years after years of abuse, malpractice medical experimentation and exploitation. This doctor in his arrogance admitted his mistreatment thinking others had the same mindset. Blessings to this Elderly woman and to the nurse that took a stand for what's right. All abuse of a patient should not be tolerated and reported.
That is my worst fear. I am 54 and deal with an auto immune issue and it seems to maybe affecting my hands. My worst fear is not being able to properly take care of myself and end up at the mercy of an abusive caregiver.
❤❤❤This nurse is A TRUE SUPER HERO FOR THIS SENIOR PATIENT, AND I KNOW THERE WERE OTHER SENIORS OF COLOR AND OF OTHER STATUS THAT THIS DOCTORS INSULATED. THEREFORE, I HOPE THE HOSPITAL DID NOT COVER IT UP, BUT MADE HIM UNDERSTAND HIS ATTITUDE WAS WRONG TO PEOPLE WHO ARE IN NEED OF PERFESSIONAL AND RESPECTFUL CARE WHEN THEY ARE IN A HEALING STATE!!! PERHAPS, THEY ALLOWED HIM TO UNDERSTAND HIS MINDSET WAS TOTALLY ABUSIVE AND INAPPROPRIATE AS A DOCTOR WHO HAS BEEN BLESSED WITH SUCH A GREAT TALENT. SAD TO OTHERS WHO HATE OTHERS, BECAUSE WE ARE ALL A PART OF THE HUMAN RACE!!!
Absolutely well put, this was obviously no reason for this physician's insulence period... Utterly totally disrespect towards elderly people, what people do not realize or may not even care or give an second thought of you live you'll be maybe put in this same position!!!
I 've noticed that when you pop up, you are so negative . Are you posting for attention arre you just negative. If these stories are too too long for you to listen to. Then don't watch them. It gives me hope that we haven't given up on our humidity
This was a very nice nurse. We need it more nurses like that. If people would only care and she did. I love this nurse she does her job wel. I'm so proud of her by doing what she did. Like she said if it was her mom she would hope a nurse would do her mom the same way.. she deserves an award for that thank you for sharing that and I wish and pray that every nurse would do their job.
What an incredible and moving story that reminds us of the true essence of compassion and courage. This video from beautifully captures the dedication of healthcare professionals like Leona, who not only provide physical care but also stand up for their patients' dignity and rights. The strength and resilience shown by both Leona and Clara inspire us to be vigilant, to question injustice, and to act with kindness and empathy in our own lives.
🕊️♥️🕊️God Bless Nurse Leona Amen 🕊️♥️🕊️ Dear Clara God Bless sweet sweet Clara 🕊️💙🙏🏼💙🕊️. Thank The Police for seeing Right Thru That Horrible Dr.Price who for some reason thinks he’s a God Pure Evil
Wow this happens all the time, when my son was in the hospital, when the dr first came in with the nurse, I decided to use the bathroom that when I heard Dr as he started yelling at my son, saying he was pretending to be sick trying to force him to get up, threatening him, when he was very sick, as they were getting ready to putting him on dialysis: I came out so fast, and I saw my son, almost in tears, I asked the Dr if that how they treat there patients, the Dr told me it was none of my business as he and his nurse thought I was the cleaning lady, as I had gone into the bathroom, I shared with him that the patient was my son, boy that Dr & nurse changed there whole attitude: We have a big family and while my son was in the hospital, we all took turn staying with him, we never left him alone, All I can say May GOD forgive that Doctor and His nurse and may they never fine themselves in a situation were they are the ones that need help:)!!!!!!!
The Spirit of An Angel expressing in and through this young lady. What a Blessing Leona was, Is; She is the epitome of customer service. Such demonstration of natural, loving feelings, compassion and concern; thoughts of ethical standards; How fearless and competent in her actions & reactions! Thank you Leona for such a pure heart! May the Holy Spirit Bless you! TO God IS THE GLORY! To God is the Glory!
You are missing the point and attempting to make another. Plz don't minimize this very vulnerable black woman's repeated abuse and racial discrimination by a doctor..
This story broke my heart, sweet Clara😭endured that despicable doctor,oh how I would have comforted her😭I have also endured such treatment by many,it is all too familiar for me 😭😭😭😭
I once watched a surgeon explain a needed surgery to a Spanish speaking lady. He spoke clearly and slowly in English, and she nodded her head to all. The lady signed an informed consent for her surgery and surgeon left. A moment later, the woman’s adult daughter entered the room. She told me she was fluent in English and Spanish. I had her ask her mother if she had understood what the surgeon told her. NOT A WORD! I ran after the surgeon and explained this all to him. He was not happy, and insisted that the Spanish speaking woman had understood him completely. I stood my ground, and told him that the daughter was there waiting to translate for him, so he reluctantly went back and got a real informed consent. I was just a nursing student, but fortunately I also worked in that hospital as a nurses aide. It was a public teaching hospital and doctors were not treated like deity’s, so I was able to advocate for this poor lady who must have been terrified.
I remember my late grandmother attempting to stop her own blood flow after dialysis. Her outfit was covered in blood, but I happened to be on a field trip to the hospital in time to seek help.
Absolutely amazing story, Wow I'm utterly lost for any word this absolutely another meer example of how excellent our heavenly father is.... PRAISE HIS HOLY AMEN 😂😂😂❤❤❤ GOD BLESS YOU HONEY AND YOUR LOVE ONES
Nice story but it just reinforces an inner fear I have of doctors….not just for racial discrimination but age discrimination as well. I’m 77 and for a while I have felt that doctors are dismissive of my reasons for coming. I get medications that don’t work until I’ve tried several. I don’t mean major things but things like my sinus acting up, unspecified pain in my abdomen or one podiatrist saying I’ve got flat feet which is the cause of my feet hurting, then the next one saying it’s arthritis (which it probably is) but just tells me to exercise less.
I am fighting breast and bone cancer for last 2 yrs. They have given me great care and it is stable. I am 83 yrs old. I got some lesions on my nose and cheek. My dr sent me to dermatologist. He removed nose one and cheek one partially. I went back for follow-up it was non basal cancer which means not life threatening, but could still spread on face. He said he wouldn’t treat me further because of my age and health conditions. If I was younger he would. Can you say age discrimination? Despite fact of my other illnesses I am an active person.
My sister 69 years, she went to the hospital for treatment . Four days later, while in the hospital she acquired a stage two bed sore. The wound in no time progressd to stage four. She has been suffering now for 9 months between Rehab and hospital. This is the result of a sheath of a device placed at her back, a fall risk device. She complained of something hurting at he back. Although I alerted the staff and on there occasions to the staff to task about it, no one cared. Her back became burnt by the device.
Worked in the nursing field and experienced many forms of abuse and discrimination. Not many would stand up for more patients and saw even this as patient myself. More people need to speak up about this. Remember nurses are possibly their last voice of defense. Nurses aren't given the respect they deserve.
This was a great nurse that took her job seriously

I guarantee that this sort of disgusting behavior happens more often than not.
Great story. It is happening all the time to the elderly, especially black elderly
Exactly
God bless this nurse and those in this field of work who care for their patients

Watching from South Africa and thank you for the story this is still happening in some hospitals. We should all speak up. Well done nurse
This is a very disturbing story! I’m grateful for nurses and other medical professionals who don’t abuse patients but follow the oaths they took!
.
Wowwwwww! What happened to humanity? Thanks to a nurse like her✝️☮️💟
No matter how qualified you are but if you don't have the heart. Treated everyone equally then you are not qualified on your position. We are all equal in God eyes ❤❤
Thank you Leona . There is a God, I thank him for giving you the courage to stand up to that demon.
😮oh well you did wel take care of her not every nurse or dokter is so gentle with old people well thanks to that nurse she has a little company
Wonderful Nurse Full Of Love💘God Bless Them Both🙏🙏

I have to say lm very surprised that the hospital management team was not involved in the behaviour of this doctor! 👏🏽
Maybe no one reported the Dr behavior or maybe they are scared to report him because of his position . Thank God for this nurse.
@@crich8420nice story, but fiction
Happy ending but doesn’t always end that way. Sometimes the nurse is fired and the treatment continues.
My heart breaks for the patient Mrs. Reynolds
All human beings should be treated equally regardless of color creed or Denomination. I feel so sad for Mrs. Reynolds🙏🙏💗💗🙏🙏
Huge thanks to Nurses who should be given truckloads of Gratitude …🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
