FYI: The Pegasus doesn't have "airpods" like the Alphafly, it has Air Zoom units (similar tensile fiber tech, but very different design) and the 39 & 40 have one in the forefoot and one in the heel.
@@djfurious1877 Ya, that front air zoom unit can cause issues. Either from shifting in the foam pocket, loosing pressure or poking into the foot. It’s a design flaw. I hope they move to a feel length air zoom unit in the Peg 41.
Fwiw, I believe the 39 started at $130 as well...but that one is discounted now, of course, so I'm sticking with the 39. I have no idea how they made it an ounce heavier. It's a relatively low stack, narrow shoe.
They made it heavyer so next version people go all "It's super light wow much awesome plushy ++ will buy again because better" Same as they did with the Vaporfly 2.
I don't like them. The 40's. I have more of a flat foot. So the arch is too high. It also feels like I'm running on my toes..I wouldn't buy them again. I feel like I wasted my money.

The Pegasus needs some reinvigorating. It’s a shoe that is really living off its heritage in current form and lags behind so many others at the same price point. They do make some pretty coloured ones though.
I had an issue with my 39, I'm not sure if it was damaged somehow but I did notice that my shoe was not brand new when I got it, at least the packaging suggested that. The problem that I felt is that the midsole collapsed more under my right big toe, I read that the air pockets could get a hole, but it didn't seem that bad, I just returned those and never looked back, I always loved the pegasus line but I'm not sure I will invest in the 40, maybe I wait another year for the new gen.

All is marketing, like air zoom, gel etc....the cushion comes from eva foam

For some reason the Air Zoom units in the front bother me. Wish the inside sole was smooth across the sole, not with a separation.

I have both of these and I swear the 39 is softer, if even just slightly so.

after a month with Pegasus40 I can say that I do not recommend them, very warm and sweaty, noisy, also too much movement in the heel

40 miles per week and I cannot tell much difference. If anything the 40 is slightly more comfortable.
Several of the flywires on my Pegasus 39s broke. I certainly wasn't impressed with the build quality of the 39s.
40 the heel lip design is changed and not for my legs. Will buy another 39 for the future.

It's a product error. I had the same thing with peg 34 and 37 where the air unit on one side was misplaced and or not properly working properly.
I bought a nike vomero 16 and it feels like bubbles are there somewhere between my right pair mid sole i guess my shoe is also damage 🥲
