His double in Game 1 of the World Series was huge.

With a mind-boggling .818 with RISP, the dude basically turned baseball into an artform. He was the unsung NLCS MVP. But of course, let's pretend none of that brilliance ever happened, all because he didn't magically homer in every game with just one hand in the WS.

Without that play, in all likelihood the Dodgers would have been swept 3-0 by the Padres just like last year’s Divisional Series against the Diamondbacks. 2) The second one was the hit at the bottom of the 8th that made it possible to tie the game and set up Freeman’s grand slam. If Shohei didn’t make that clutch play, the Yankees would most likely take game 1 and there’s a very good possibility that they would come back to L.A. leading 3-2 or the Yankees could very well win it all in New York.
