- In today's vlog we head to the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser for a Daddy & Buddy space vacation! Today is our check in day, we tour our room, eat some delicious space food and save the Halcyon! We also got pretty involved in the Resistance storyline, where we helped get Chewie off the ship. Jackson did a great job! I love when Jackson says he wants to sleep in the top bunk and Tim says “we’ll see”. Every parent knows that “we’ll see” means NO. 😂

Seems like they should make this a regular hotel Mon-Thurs and only do the fully immersed experience on the weekends (Friday-Sunday). That way more people will stay during the week and hopefully more people will be booked for the immersive since it’s only weekly.
I'm completely convinced it won't last much longer as the two day set cruises and will just move to a themed hotel. I could see them allowing cosplay there and still doing a specific transport from the hotel, using the guests to help theme out galaxy's edge with more "characters" walking about. It's a fascinating idea!
Maybe it would be more cost effective if it was a themed hotel 3 weeks out of the month and one week this “event”. I so wish I was healthy enough to go either way.

@@iluv2cheer176 I originally thought it WAS just a themed hotel. When they announced it was a "cruise" I lost all interest. I imagined you'd be able to take the transport to and from the park whenever you want, and the interactions would be triggered by what you chose to be at the beginning. Something more subtle like you were an actual character instead of being shoehorned into a larger plot.
Cuz no one would book the show the hotel regs would be smokin in the parkinlot after cleanin all the kid barf think Circus Circus

Jackson seemed bored or confused much of the time. This doesn't seem appropriate for a 3 year old. He probably would have had much more fun at Caribbean Beach.

The timid character helping Jackson with the lever was amazing. I can see, as a kid, really connecting with him and wanting to help him because he “doesn’t know what he’s doing”. I hope Disney really values that cast member. ❤
I’m very impressed by Tim’s ability to vlog while solo-parenting. I’ve tried doing similar and it’s sooo hard to finish a thought or not yell at my kids on camera constantly 😂😂😂

I love how rude yet polite the first order has to be. That must be so much fun to just get to constantly sass people all day(yet they get to be super supportive to little ones like Jackson.)….man I miss being a cast member.
I can't believe Jackson is only 3 years old! He looks and behaves like an older child. And he's whipsmart. It was a lot of fun watching him and Timothy play on star cruiser. 😂
I know! Its crazy! When Tim said he was three I was like wait what?! Like I knew he was three, but he acts and behaves so much older.

Jackson is so smart! I’m amazed at how much he knows and understands already and also how quickly he picks up on new skills. Tim did a great job filming and solo-parenting!

The starcrusier is a example of something that could have been great but was a failure due to the pricing and the head bosses refusing to lower the price due to greed

Wife and I are planning a two week trip--All together, it's still budgeting cheaper than a few nights here. It's neat, and everyone works so hard to make it great--props to the Cast Members, as always. But the price. I just can't get over that price. Just can't.
tim & jenn, i am actually crying the house down rn watching this! he is getting SO BIG and so so super cute-r every day if that’s even possible! i work on the starcruiser and i was absolutely GUTTED when i watched your home vlog when tim was packing as i realized that your voyage was on my two days off! i literally had a shift 7am-1pm on your arrival day and came in at 9:30am on your departure day 😭😭😭😭 literally cries forever it is my dream to meet y’all! i was also working the mnsshp shift you all went to this year the night before the hurricane and was on my break when you went through my treat trail haha so i guess i’m destined to always just barely miss y’all. just passing along all my support and love, you all are my fav disney channel ever and inspired me to do the dcp! love y’all sm 💕💕 so happy you had a great time at my home away from home! 💫

I think in order to stay afloat they should do a regular themed hotel Mon-Thurs with an immersive dinner with characters and a more in-depth immersive experience Friday-Saturday.

As a star wars fan, I really wish they had made this more affordable. I think that is probably the reason its shutting down due to low attendance. Paying for a flight or to drive down to Disney on top of the admission is out of my price range. I was hoping to save up and maybe go next year but now that idea is null and void. It looks like a lot of fun.

I always heard that why attendance has been very low on this experience is because it’s the same plot. A lot of people would like to have it changed to different plots. Why spend all that money to go back on and do the same thing, see the same actors, say the same lines.

Hey Tim! I was on the Starcruiser 2 months ago a during spring break, and the ship was almost full. They used both dinner services and our cast had a lot of the opening day cast. Your Gaya during this voyage was Lenka Mok on my voyage! I definitely think that, like the parks, the crowds depend on the season. I went during spring break and it was nearly full. I loved watching you and Jackson exploring the ship! I hope you enjoyed your voyage!

Wow--this is a totally different trip than last time! Jackson is so much aware of everything that's going on, and can interact so much more. He's a great engineer, and I'm sure he'll find lots of ways to help the Resistance!

JUST read that Disney is closing the Starcruiser hotel on September 30, 2023. Frankly, not that surprised. I had wanted to go until I heard the cost and saw Tim's videos. I don't think it had enough "repeatability," is super expensive, claustrophobic, the food didn't look that great, very crowded when full capacity, and the rooms were tiny. I am quite sure Disney will learn A LOT from the experience.

I’m the least committed Star Wars fan. I don’t know timelines well enough either. But this whole thing looks so awesome. The cast members look like they do so well at modifying what they do/say as things come up. Like taking passenger suggestions and making it work?? That’s magic.
