    I got a '17 EX manual, but in white. At 4200 miles now, my overall average mpg is 38.7, so don't pay much attention to the numbers on short drives. Today the previous drive indicated 17.5 after stopping at two businesses a 1/4 mile apart, but the current drive when I got home was 40.3 for 45 miles. It's been a great car so far. No complaints.

      Don't forget, it's a Honda. If all goes well, it'll probably be a great car twenty years from now.

      At 15,400 miles now. So far, one driving light bulb replaced from hitting an opossum, screw removed from tire and patched, oil changes, tire,rotations; that's it. Gas mileage continues to improve. No leaks, rattles, or signs of wear.

    I love my Fit. I bought it in the berry (purple) in October. I was originally going to get the 2016. Initially, there was a bunch of issues as far as actually getting the car. I had to wait almost 2 months for them to build my car from the ground up in Japan, ship it to Mexico for the additional parts, then ship it again to my dealership. All because there wasn't a single dealership in the entire country who had the car in the color and transmission I wanted (I have a manual as well). I drove from Rapid City to Denver and on the trip averaged 42 mpg. Can't beat that! I have only TWO complaints about this car. I wish there was an armrest attached to the seat. The console in the middle is far too low to function comfortably as one. Secondly, the interior tends to get a bit noisy when driving on the highway. Not terribly so, but I wish it was bit quieter. Everything else is perfect.

    Well so you can't drive a stick shift, what is the big deal! Nothing to be ashamed about. Besides many love to brag but only a handfull knows how to drive a manual transmission properly and proficiently. Bet you can do quite a few things that no one else knows how to do!

      We need a "manual day." Where car buyers ease back on laziness and go out and make there next purchase a manual. But you're thinking how do we text and drive and drink our 600 calorie frozen coffee drinks if we have a manual?

    Never understood why Honda doesn’t give a leather wrapped wheel and shifter on the EX. It really cheapens the interior of an otherwise fine car.

    I learned to drive manuals at like 15. I'm 21 now-- learn to drive a manual. They are far better in regards to a better driving experience.

      You can also "upgrade" to the horrible CVT. Manuals are far more superior though.

    does it matter that its a manual cvt. does that defeat the purpose of a cvt engine or not, ive seen forums but i dont really why a manual would ruin a cvt.

    The only thing that I wish Honda would do with this car (The Manual Transmission) is to make (HSA) Hill Assist Starter OPTIONAL!!! Jeep made their HAS option and so did Subaru!! I don't like HSA! I wish they would give an option to take it off!

    how can you not know how to drive a stick?

    • @davidfedor7733
      @davidfedor7733 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Haha! Right? Wish I learned. I heard somewhere that only 7% of Americans know how to anymore. Dying art.

    • @RickDanner
      @RickDanner 8 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      7% ? manuals are so much more fun to drive and you are so much more in control of the car

    • @BoschExxcel
      @BoschExxcel 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Rick Danner I'm amazed that Americans can't drive manuals. Most cars here in Europe (I'm from the UK) especially small ones, are manuals. Although autos are becoming more popular (especially for older people) for small cars like a Golf/Focus and smaller, a manual suits them a lot better. Plus if you want a license to drive any car here you have to do the manual test, if you do an automatic test you can only drive automatics, so it's quite limiting. I passed my test 3 months ago and have manual Focus, learning to drive one is easy once you get the hang of it!

    • @derekperry1745
      @derekperry1745 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm an American and it amazes me as well. It incredibly straight forward and in my view, far superior than automatics ad especially CVT's.. I can't stand CVT's whatsoever. I have been able to drive a manual since like 15 years old, I'm now 21. The manual is dying here over the pond-- it depresses me. Manuals are far superior even in mpg goes down ever so slightly. It's far worth it.

      EX-"L" , the L stands or leather, essentially the same as the EX but adding leather seats, this model they reviewed had cloth armrest and seats :)
