San Diego MTS New Flyer XN60 7502 Bus Ride

MTS 7502 is part of the 7501-7517 order of New Flyer XN60 buses which entered service in 2018. Based at South Bay Maintenance Facility, 7502 and others in the order serve San Diego MTS Rapid routes like this one, Rapid 225. In this video, enjoy the ride on this unique BRT route with a combination of different styles of BRT construction and operation between Otay Mesa and Downtown San Diego. Great video! An interesting BRT route in terms of infrastructure - seems to get decent speeds & transit priority as well. Those seats look really comfy too

Super comfy seats, and you need them, too, for the long rides across the sprawling development. The purpose built BRT segments within relatively new development really seemed to spur ridership and the streetscapes really looked alive in those areas. Hopefully there will be more to come.
