I bought a 2018 Honda Accord EX new. Driver doors had padded leather, console with vented back, USB chargers, fog lights. Total was $26k, around MSRP. 23' accord has none of that and they want 30k. What a joke.
Yeah it's pretty sad. Even accounting for inflation, the 10th gen was a better deal when it came out. I'm sure this 11th gen is a but more comfortable and refined, but doesn't offer much else

Finally some driving impressions, I know a lot aren’t liking this refresh but for me I’m one of the rare cases that are actually interested in the bland “boring” aspect of this car it’s just seems no nonsense to me. I don’t necessarily agree with the pricing but everything is inflated nowadays I’d be more interested in picking one up used as a no nonsense point A to B car.
I agree for the most part. I think what is got everyone upset is you are forced into I hybrid if you want a nice one. Otherwise it's a plastic steering wheel, cloth seats. They could have offered the EXL in both hybrid and the gas 1.5 T. For less money you can get a Subaru legacy with 260hp & 277lbst. Talk about boring nobody will even look at you in that car until you blow by them. It also has standard AWD..
@@1Springloaded The steering wheel alone isn’t really a reason to upgrade to a whole different model. You can get real leather custom fit steering wheel covers from WheelSkins that can stitched yourself or at a car upholstery shop.
I know everyone is not liking this redesign I think I do like it, but yes it’s a Honda it will still get you from point A to point B with no issues, and it also drives quite nice for being this type of car; so if you buy one of these you might not like how it looks but I think you’ll be happy with how it drives and how comfortable and quiet it is.
No you can not, the only option for rim besides the one that comes on the trim is the HPD rim that is also a 19 inch; so yes the only hybrid with a 17 inch is the EXL hybrid.
How's the CVT transmission in this? I have a 2018 Accord Sport and the CVT is the only weak link in the vehicle. I wish Honda would design a proper automatic tranny.
The problems I find with the 2023 Honda Accord: 1. No All Wheel Drive is available 2. No heated steering Wheel is available 3. No spare tire is available 4. No XM Radio. If a 2023 or 2024 car missing all of these features is fine for you, then get one. Hopefully, by the time 2025 comes around these glaring deficiencies will be resolved.
Que hermoso Accord..Respecto al la versión anterior me encanga tambien .me interesa saber cual es el mas potente..El 2020 tiene 2 0 252 hp potencia ..me parecio ver que el 2023 tiene 272 hp ..pero ami en lo personal me gusta mucho el Accord V6. POTENTE..saludos desde Argentina.
Honda said they weren’t selling many of the 2.0s so that’s why they discounted it. Everything is going hybrid or electric some day so I’m not surprised.
I'm not a fan of purely digital led cluster displays, prefer the combination of analogue (real physical needles) in combination with digital as well, although that type of cluster is disappearing fast, otherwise this car has a very good exterior design the interior design is a deal breaker for me. Have to go with one that has my preferred instrument cluster instead even tho this is probably a very good car.
I traded a 2019 EX for the 2023 EX and it looks much better in person. The only downgrade is the informatic screen! Surprisingly, it has been downgraded from the 2019 EX.
@@agent_mc That is very true I think Honda wants you to buy a Hybrid Accord this year instead of the gas so they put all the luxury features on the hybrids. Not that the gas is still not good, the gas is still very good but just think they put more focus on the hybrids this year instead of last generation they kind of did both.
The only way to justify this boring reboot would be if they lowered the price point ; but they didn’t….Also the front end is very lackluster.I know some people wanted something a little more subdued than the 10th gens aggressive face but this is way too far in the opposite direction
And way too much of the black plastic trim around this car.This car screams “econo box” when accords were always supposed to be more stylish and refined
I don't understand why Honda even made this car. They should have just ended the Accord. At least it would have went out on top. This entire generation is crap. I say go with a Camry or legacy.
Alot for your money?!! Are you freaking kidding me?! Lolol how is it there's no turn indicators on the side view mirrors of an EX?!!! LOLOL MY 2013 EX came with indicators and a left blind spot camera... Not to mention your rear passengers are going to suffocate, great. When I leased my 22 Odyssey back in 2021 I had high hopes Honda's new roll outs would be incredible and introducing EV by 2024. These releases aren't showing any signs of improvements ahead of the competition. They dropped the ball with this BIG TIME!
The ugliest Accord in history! Less standard features but charging more money. People will buy the Camry, Mazda, Sonata, Altima and K5 over this fugly thing. What’s the point of the hump on the back of the center console in the rear without the air vents? Cheap plastics all over and a Pontiac Aztek rival facia but Honda expects to compete with the rest in the segment? 😂
for $30K interior is very cheaply made, not even a vent in the back?!! & for some colors you have to pay $455 extra,lol, they are getting cheaper by the day.

I like the redesign. It's definitely a cleaner look than the 10th gen Accord. That silver exterior looks great!

The new Accord doesn’t have what it takes to take down Camry. Especially when it dropped the 2.0 T model to challenge the Camry V6. Big mistake, Honda

Toyota doesn't sell a lot of V6 Camrys, and yet they still sell them. I hope other automakers avoid this trend.

I didn’t change anything that’s how it was maybe it’s the camera it sometimes makes lights flash differently.
Can you get 17 inch wheels on the hybrids other than the exl. Fro example an you get 17’s on the touring instead of the 19’s?
No you can not, the only option for rim besides the one that comes on the trim is the HPD rim that is also a 19 inch; so yes the only hybrid with a 17 inch is the EXL hybrid.

CVT in Honda is actually pretty darn reliable if you keep maintain it

Yes it has a one inch smaller but if you get anything above that with the hybrid power train you get a 12.3 inch!
@@HMAutos8324 the 2023 ex doesn't really have a GUI that the 2019 had. It's no big deal but I was surprised that this year's model was a downgrade.

looks like a 2010 Taurus. One on the most bland looking new vehicles I've seen in a while.
