The year is 2021, I just finished watching TLOU II and came back to see some of the first videos Gamematics uploaded on their channel. Finally got a chance to understand the story behind games that I wished I played all those years back. Still don't own a console but it's the best thing to have happened. Thanks :)

It was captured in HD, but it seems that when a movie is 3+hrs long and uploaded to TH-cam, they are hit or miss showing the HD version. So if I upload again I will lose the numbers currently on this video which I don't want to do. I am glad you like it though!

Fantastic work Gamematics! I am currently on the Brotherhood video, your extra gameplay elements are essential for a better feel in these movies. I had played pretty steadily in the series up until 2012 when I took a rather lengthy break, so I was hazy on a lot of the details coming back to it recently. I intend to finish up ACIII but I had played a bit into it before I took the break...and it's been a great ride watching each video. My only complaint (not even the right word I'm looking for, it's not really a complaint rather a feeling that "something's missing"), though minor, is the lack of subtitles. I remember it being an option at least as early as ACII...but it may have been in AC1 as well. I noticed the ACIII one has subtitles, Brotherhood doesn't seem to and I haven't tuned into Revelations yet. Anyways...great work so far man. It's been great catching up on the series after so long. While I own all of them up until III, I didn't feel like replaying each one just for the story and refresher ;>__> especially since the only one I want to play right now is III, then Black Flag and the recent releases.

Loving these game movies- personally enjoyed a lot of your splinter cell series game movies, and assassins creed as well. The story was so compelling when it first came out.. now the AC series are just regurgitation. Anyways, thanks for the upload.

I wasn't planning on playing syndicate after bad reviews and my previous experiences, but hearing your review makes me think again.. did you play unity? what part did you like about syndicate?
Sam S I did play Unity, Didn't care for the setting, I felt the load times were horrible, and way too many times you would get stuck on buildings or environment elements. In Syndicate, it felt like the old AC games with modernized controls. The movements were fluid, the ability to ascend and descend were smooth, they also give you the ability to use a zipline to get around the city faster. I felt London was an awesome setting, the era just works great...and as I said prior the main characters are some of the best the franchise has seen to date. The load times between missions are still a little too long for this generation of gaming, but it is much better than Unity's load times.

How is the main storyline of syndicate compared to other AC games? Ign also faulted poor storyline as a negative to this game. Sam S Black flag was alright. I didn't care for the ships....and not a huge fan of Kenway. I would put the syndicate story as one of my favorites since the Ezio story line. IGN in my opinion got this one wrong then. Just keep in mind this is my opinion, which doesn't mean you will agree.

Yea that is exactly what happened. It was one of my first uploads of this type and length. I believe the status of my account prevents that from happening going forward, but unfortunately AC be in this state for some time.

the story is so deep and touches on so many social, political, philosophical, and religious notions. I'm so scared the movie won't do it justice from that standpoint. btw, just one critique. if you're making a game movie, its probably good to get rid of the hud and hints to make it more cinematic. nice job!

The voice of Altaïr in AC1 is Philip Shahbaz, but when they brought this character back in Revelations they brought in a different actor named Cas Anvar!

not sure, AC4 is the only one I haven't played yet. The animus is still in use with the same cast of characters in AC3...so the story has continued on. The way they handled Ezio's story certainly indicates they planned his trilogy and not naming one of the games AC3...indicates they were reserving AC3 for Connor's story. Ezio's story tree is my favorite so far.

There's a star in the constellation Aquila (the eagle) called Altair. which makes sense since the simbol of the assassins is the eagle.
And the ship Connor navigates in AC3 is called the Aquila
