The real joke is not just the bad guy trying to get his arm back, but Raylan keeping it from him, both acting as if it makes any difference one way or the other.
@@sclogse1 This dude gives me chills everytime he plays the villain or some psycho, his best performances was damien darhk on arrow. Robert on Justified and he just has that creepy look in his face. My favorite part about Raylan playing keep away is the pointlessness of it. Like, the man is not gonna be able to do much with that arm even if you give it to him, Raylan! But I guess there's no reason to do him any favors at this point, either. 😂
He had the gun in his right hand and got his left arm severed. Disarming or dis-arming? Or both? I'm still analysing this scene, it's so multi-layered.
Let's just get the puns out of the way before the situation gets out of hand: - one armed bandit - won't hand him his arm - got disarmed - give him a hand - make a clean cut - disarming personality - cut him out of the deal
The flaw in this is when he says "If you do there'll be a dozen armed men"..if he shoots the guy. But these men won't show up if he shoots the boy or the Marshall?
I thought this was a good show until I saw Raylan driving around in a VW Vanagon. Federal marshals don't drive around in Vanagons. Actually nobody does. Just kidding, I dig this show but still pretty funny.
I was a federal agent and I did. But it did take a while for me to figure out, it was the Westphalia VW camper van that made scumbags think I was a peace and love hippie kind of guy, when I went camping way out in the backwoods of central California and the deserts of Nevada. You can guess how surprised they were when they tried to rob me!
I missed something. Did he have a second gun up his sleeve or did he throw the gun into his other hand? He shot at the other guy with his right hand, then thevgun is in his left hand.
To bad Neil was left handed. You loose your right arm, you don't bleed out as fast because the aorta is on the left side. All the arteries are on the left side. Had Neil's rig been on his right arm he might have lived. See Ed Begley, Jr loosing an arm in the remake of Cat People.
Why are you calling this a "WIld Western"? You realize that this show takes place in Appalachia, Right? You realize that Appalachia is on the EAST coast, right?
His father thought Bergen was Raylan cause of the hat, he most likely didn't know or care to know who he shot. This whole sequence was just nuts. Quarles most likely is out with the money if ole boy doesn't pop him. Also, keeping money in the one place nobody would think to look for it was pretty damn ingenious of Limehouse. 🐷🤑
The way Raylan casually won't give his arm back...! 😃
It was armed.
Nooo, that's mine now.
That part always got me too. It looked like it was more out of spite than not letting him have a gun
He did not want to fight an unarmed man.
That is going to live in my mind forever as one of the top five top of the line teevee moments.
Ooh wee a piggy bank, accompanied with maniacal laughter. That killed me🤣
i dunno man was a bit too whimsical
Me too! 😂😂😂😂
Quarles always had a couple of loose screws.
A wheezing maniacal laughter!😂

Raylan could never escape Arlo. All the way down to his own character. What a series....
Most often, sons of bad fathers either become just like them, or completely opposite.

God knows I've been looking for an appropriate moment to use that in the real world.
Neil McDonough is an amazing actor.
He's a solid bad guy, happy to see him in a cast. Someone like Dick Miller.
Very underrated too
Quarles was a great character, due as much to McDonough's acting as the writing. This series consistently did amazing villains.
Agreed. Despicables yet so well-rounded and charismatic villains.
Missed opportunity to say 'Gangster gets Disarmed'
🤣🤣
That's in the scene after
That would have been perfect 😂
Whoever writes these clearly does not speak English as a first language.
Neal McDonough Is a Great (Really Sick Puppy) Bad Guy!
but also a god fearing Christan off screen, seems that the nicest people play the worst ones!!

Hahaha he tried to get his arm back but the Marshall was reluctant.
'tis but a scratch.. Or, 'come over here an I'll bite yer kneecaps off.' There, managed to get Shakespeare and Monty Python in one quote!
Time to binge watch this series again!
That is cold.
Man reaches for his arm and he won't give it to him.
It's his arm.
It was holding a gun. I think that was the hesitation, not callousness. Pretty wild set of events though.
Thats a stretch.
Possession is 9/10s of the law
Bubba Gump came in clutch with the blade
Ain't nobody stealing his shrimp recipes.
Thought that was him.😊
His hidden gun is so cool
That mean streak in Raylan; Quarles reaches for his arm & Raylan pulls it away from him.
🤣😀😂🔥👍
Why would Raylan give him his gun back?
He wasn't about to give him a "hand"... Either 🦾
@@RichardWhite-lh7yy that was awful🤣
True😜
The best scene, EVER.
Certainly the most unexpected. Maybe ever on tv. brilliant and Raylan kept the arm.😂
It's silly. You can't just hack through someone's arm like that and where did his elbow go?
Just about the best series ever!! 🙂
NOT MY PEOPLE NOT MY PROBLEM 😂
Gotta hand it… to the butcher, one hell of a swing. Gangster is now a one armed bandit.
As Hannibal would say - Not anymore.
Lol… true. Now he pig food
Limehouse is as cold-blooded as they come.
Man, Clarence boddicker would have a field day with this one. Well give the man a hand!
I'd love Neal McDonough no matter how useless he was with a SeaBob
Always liked Quarrels.
My favorite scene of the show
Give the man a hand, please! (No pun intended).
best show ever
love when he moves the hand away lol
Good to see Fraction getting work. He and the trooper. Tour of Duty alums.
"Beware the man who owns a pig farm."
Guess so.
Hence the term “as greedy as a pig”……..
Melhor cena!! O Raylan afastando o braço amputado do lado bandido é hilário
Tnx for the upload, great scene.
Should have gone with disarmed for the title.
Or “Arm Robbery…Justified.”
Damn, that was wicked.
This gives new meaning to the term unarmed !
Armless victory!
Limehouse, Tour of Duty. Givins, When Trumpets Fade. McDonough, Band of Brothers.
That was awfully clean...
The best :)
Why did he prevent him from reaching for his severed arm? I don’t think he was going to do anything with it or rearm himself with it.
Holding a gun.
Because it was like rubbing salt in a wound, that little bit of meanness, that Raylan had, because he disliked Quarles so much.
Reminded me of Denzel's line from 'Book of Eli' "Put that hand on me again, You won't get it back!"
He had a retractable gun (like Schultz in Django Unchained) that he always relied on, so his instinct was to reach for it.
Someone's coming at you with blood spurting out. It's pure disgust
Damn!
The real joke is not just the bad guy trying to get his arm back, but Raylan keeping it from him, both acting as if it makes any difference one way or the other.
Elston completely “disarmed” Quarrels.
Disarmed him lol
I never saw that scene before...gruesome.

Talk about disarming a man lmao

Quarles had a wrist-mounted mouse gun that was hidden up his sleeve. It’s shown early on in the season. He drew that one when he lost his main gun
Second gun up his left sleeve
Quarles was a few bricks shy of a load. But the character was entertaining.
Let's just get the puns out of the way before the situation gets out of hand:

One of the goofiest scenes in the show.
They cut the arm like it was a cooked hotdog. None of the force went to them- arm bones are serious. Typical Hollyweird.
Too bad.
