you should have just reuploaded old VOG tutorials from back during the [A.O.T] update, but also record and giving a guide for some of what ever else that bungie has updated within this old returned D1 Raid mission for a quicker guide upload. just a thought. [shrugged]
The LFG in the app or on the website is the way to go for all of us friendless bastards, however, LFG is hell, because everyone is super serious, and nobody wants to or has the patience to deal with people who need to have stuff explained, or if the group wipes more than 3 times, you can guarantee someone if not more than 1 person, will inevitably just leave without saying anything. I've done many different things with LFG, and it's almost always the same deal. On the rare occasion you get the relaxed, chill dude who has done it 100 times and is genuinely fun to talk to.

I remember the first section back in d1 in open world, whenever i see a raid team trying to open the door i usually come in and help out. It was nice to be able to do that.

I hate that crap, you need wayyyyy too much team co ordination and is near impossible to teach someone who doesn’t know already while keeping the rest of the fire team patient and staying or stuff like that. Raids are annoying and I can’t imagine people actually grinding 50 clears for the raid weapons. I’ve played since launch and never earned a single raid weapon, but I have a dozen or so clears. Just not fun unless you have other no life friends who are up to level and have the insane time investment to raid.
It really wasnt "too much" lol, i had to solo right and left side (right for one strat and left for another) and it really isnt hard. The problem is your team probably just had shitty callouts

I only remember dark drinker getting better than raze lighter after it was discovered it cpuld hit half of Aksis's crits in one heavy attack, boosting its damage up a lot. Although I might be misremembering.
For less coordinated teams for oracles we found it easier to have 3 on left 3 on right. As the oracles spawn have everyone stand next to an oracle in order from 1-6. Then each person only has to remember what number they are in order and you don’t have to think about “l3, l1, r3, mid, etc”. For round seven obviously after your team kills six in order the last one remaining is last.

Took us newbs some time but once you have one person killing the Praetorian it's easy. We also ignored the cyclops. Just one guy sitting on the plate killing ads and one hunter with inv going for the Praetorian with a sword.

A tip: in case everyone gets detained at the atheon damage part, one person just needs to grab the relic and use the slam attack which will take the detainment off of everyone. At least this used to work on D1

How would so many of us even know what to do in the Destiny universe without people like you guiding us through it all. What blows my mind is how you figure this stuff out???? Going in blindly would take you so many hours to figure out?? Thank again for all that you do. I'd love more info on weapon load out tips for different parts of Destiny. As they sunset weapons and add new ones, sometimes its a challenge to know what exactly to use. And.... I find that there isn't a major difference between exotics and legendary weapons in terms of usability. Do you agree? Much appreciation and respect for your work......
For the Atheon fight there are dedicated spawn points for the oracles. It's 3 up by the spawn gate and 3 back by the portals. It just seems really chaotic and random with all the supplicants around you.
An easy strat for oracles: have everyone have designated oracles. Since there are 7, one person will need to have 2. Make sure everyone stays near the oracle to make sure they dont miss it. When you see your oracle pop up, you say the number in the sequence. Example: the oracles start the sequence, the first one spawns and the person who is responsible for it calls out 1. Then the second oracle, the next person says 2... the reason why you shouldnt jave to call out the names is that its useless. No one is going to worry about your oracle, except for you, so the only piece of info you have to give is when you saw yours so that the next person knows when their oracle will have to die and in what order. Of everyone does this, it will be and easy clear. This is what i used in day 1 and it was a literal joke of an encounter. So basically the chat is not necessary at all on pc.
I actually have yet to make my first raid experience, so I obviously can't exactly speak from personal knowledge here. But watching this video, I also just thought to myself "why don't we just assign oracle spawns to people, and they call out whenever theirs comes up, that removes a lot of the unneccessary information you'd otherwise have to process first". But hey, whatever works, as long as people can find a good strategy for themselves and get through the encounters
@@Fridge756 back in destiny one venus was a jungly planet with overgrown cities and mars was..well, a desert planet. Since we were at both places often when people were sent to them in vog they just by instinct said venus and mars. So the instict is sorta gone now that we dont have a harsh jungle like landscape like Venus.

Nah lfg are awful, they might seem nice at first but if you mess up once you get yelled at like you're a damn trash can even if you're just a beginner. At least that's what happened for me unfortunatly :(

My team just caved as well for Atheon. We are doing the same strat these guys are and our dmg for some reason is just nowhere close to what they are doing in the video.
Kinda sucks to see them go back from what they did for DSC. I liked them making day 1's more achievable. Not to mention that the game is way too buggy to be trying to be the "Dark Souls" of the shooter genre.

They upped the difficulty just by adding the cyclopses at the entrance. They are mean aggros;-; my group of 4 had trouble getting in, but 3 of us were under-leveled
Ngl I geared up my Hunter and watched this video to prep myself for my first VOG raid, but now after seeing all these new mechanics I'm not so enthusiastic about doing it now.
Same I thought I'd get a good grasp watching this, but yesterday I got a fireteam together so me and my pal can do our first ever raid. Took 4 hours to get at Atheon checkpoint, and then the team had to leave. We got as close as 1/3rd health on Atheon before calling it a night. It's seriously tough and requires lots of call outs, designating ad clear, etc. But boy is it fun. Got a real rush playing
I’m an older gamer and I want to do this raid so bad to get the Fatebringer. I’m just returning after 3 years away and I’m tired of the solo grind. It’s hard trying to find a team that’s patient and willing to teach the new mechanics. I’ll get it done sooner or later!

It always amuses me as to why the developers feel the need to change old raids just to make them slightly harder. I wish they’d spend the time making new raids instead. People loved those raids the way they were. I appreciate your work Kackis 🙌🏽
From a development standpoint, new raids are huge undertakings for the team. New raids come out at a steady, healthy pace. Existing raids are easy for the live team to tweak because it's already done. Making slight mechanical changes can keep the game from going stale.
Agreed with OP; when the only change is adding a more tedious mechanic, that's worse than a lazy repackage. VoG still tight tho. Can't top Crota back in the day. Swords go brrr!
You did have to shoot them in order in D1, but from what I got from the video is, instead of them spawning one at a time, they are basically spawning at once, maybe with a small pause in between them. Just cause you might be standing next to one that spawned, doesn’t mean you can shoot it. (But that’s how I understand it from the video, I could be wrong about how they are spawning in D2)

Was invited for the final boss fight tonight. My first time participating in this particular raid. Ended with me acquiring the Vex Mythoclast! Everyone was pissed because they’ve done this raid so many times before and never got it. It’s a delightful weapon. Shreds like a mf
Here's the list of the 3 Vex cube locations: 1) The one you snipe from the opening rocks 2) At 4:53 on your left in a small rock alcove. 3) At the far end of the labyrinth on the ceiling. You can wipe while doing them. As long as it says "A door has opened." Then collect your chest. Vex Cube locations are shown in Esoterrick's Guide. Hi I watched a lot of your videos, nice job bro. I am a destiny 1 player ps3 ( yes i know, its history but fun as hell)..and was thinking starting D2. I have some questions about this raid: 1st, when you have to kill the templar, in Destiny 1 you dont have to kill the oracles,when screen becomes green you stay all close to the relic guy and if he clense you dont die..does it work here? 2nd. In destiny 1 the gear from VOG is year 1 (160light) and max is 335, so those weapons and gear are only good in VOG , pvp or year 1 maps. Question is, the gear from VOG is good to use everywhere? And for ex, a legendary weapon from VOG is better then one from other normal legendary? Ty
#1: To my best understanding you need to kill the oracles otherwise you are marked for negation and have to retry the oracles once your team cleanses in the middle plate. If you fail the same oracles again your team wipes. Really your focus with templar should be stopping his teleports to increase damage phase when in the current time of destiny (Season 15) is really easy. #2: VoG gear currently can be infused to max power (light) level being 1330. You're free to use VoG weapons outside of the raid and are still pretty good, especially fatebringer in my option depending on the rolls you obtain on it. Lastly, the best weapons in the game tend to change season by season as buffs and nerfs are released. I wouldn't say VoG weapons are the best in the game though.

The greatest challenge is relying on LFGs for plates and Oracles
my most of clan mates did it without me so i had to make more than half a team of LFGs and it was a nightmare

@@Fridge756 back in destiny one venus was a jungly planet with overgrown cities and mars was..well, a desert planet. Since we were at both places often when people were sent to them in vog they just by instinct said venus and mars. So the instict is sorta gone now that we dont have a harsh jungle like landscape like Venus.

So we are going to try to continue tomorrow when everyvody is awake and ready for oracles onwards. Itll be fun. But just know most callouts are from the first game and its easier for the old players to use venus and mars. Glad they are having fun!

Nah lfg are awful, they might seem nice at first but if you mess up once you get yelled at like you're a damn trash can even if you're just a beginner. At least that's what happened for me unfortunatly :(

My team just caved as well for Atheon. We are doing the same strat these guys are and our dmg for some reason is just nowhere close to what they are doing in the video.

Kinda sucks to see them go back from what they did for DSC. I liked them making day 1's more achievable. Not to mention that the game is way too buggy to be trying to be the "Dark Souls" of the shooter genre.

They upped the difficulty just by adding the cyclopses at the entrance. They are mean aggros;-; my group of 4 had trouble getting in, but 3 of us were under-leveled

Ngl I geared up my Hunter and watched this video to prep myself for my first VOG raid, but now after seeing all these new mechanics I'm not so enthusiastic about doing it now.
Same I thought I'd get a good grasp watching this, but yesterday I got a fireteam together so me and my pal can do our first ever raid. Took 4 hours to get at Atheon checkpoint, and then the team had to leave. We got as close as 1/3rd health on Atheon before calling it a night. It's seriously tough and requires lots of call outs, designating ad clear, etc.
But boy is it fun. Got a real rush playing
Made it to atheon with my friends but one fell asleep while we were figuring out oracles was fun tho we didnt finish
Basically me. Falling asleep during a raid hahaha
This was a nightmare on day 1 many teams couldnt even get in and if they did they couldnt get past the first area

I’m an older gamer and I want to do this raid so bad to get the Fatebringer. I’m just returning after 3 years away and I’m tired of the solo grind. It’s hard trying to find a team that’s patient and willing to teach the new mechanics. I’ll get it done sooner or later!

It always amuses me as to why the developers feel the need to change old raids just to make them slightly harder. I wish they’d spend the time making new raids instead. People loved those raids the way they were. I appreciate your work Kackis 🙌🏽
From a development standpoint, new raids are huge undertakings for the team. New raids come out at a steady, healthy pace. Existing raids are easy for the live team to tweak because it's already done. Making slight mechanical changes can keep the game from going stale.
Agreed with OP; when the only change is adding a more tedious mechanic, that's worse than a lazy repackage.

I thought the same thing lol and I had a friend who memorized all the Oracle spawns just off sound alone
You did have to shoot them in order in D1, but from what I got from the video is, instead of them spawning one at a time, they are basically spawning at once, maybe with a small pause in between them. Just cause you might be standing next to one that spawned, doesn’t mean you can shoot it. (But that’s how I understand it from the video, I could be wrong about how they are spawning in D2)

Was invited for the final boss fight tonight. My first time participating in this particular raid. Ended with me acquiring the Vex Mythoclast! Everyone was pissed because they’ve done this raid so many times before and never got it. It’s a delightful weapon. Shreds like a mf

So much Destiny 1 nostalgia. It's still hard to believe it's been something like 5 years since we were playing the og Vault of Glass.
Here's the list of the 3 Vex cube locations:
1) The one you snipe from the opening rocks
2) At 4:53 on your left in a small rock alcove.
3) At the far end of the labyrinth on the ceiling.
You can wipe while doing them. As long as it says "A door has opened." Then collect your chest.

I am a destiny 1 player ps3 ( yes i know, its history but fun as hell)..and was thinking starting D2.
I have some questions about this raid:
1st, when you have to kill the templar, in Destiny 1 you dont have to kill the oracles,when screen becomes green you stay all close to the relic guy and if he clense you dont die..does it work here?
2nd. In destiny 1 the gear from VOG is year 1 (160light) and max is 335, so those weapons and gear are only good in VOG , pvp or year 1 maps.
Question is, the gear from VOG is good to use everywhere? And for ex, a legendary weapon from VOG is better then one from other normal legendary?

#1: To my best understanding you need to kill the oracles otherwise you are marked for negation and have to retry the oracles once your team cleanses in the middle plate. If you fail the same oracles again your team wipes. Really your focus with templar should be stopping his teleports to increase damage phase when in the current time of destiny (Season 15) is really easy.
#2: VoG gear currently can be infused to max power (light) level being 1330. You're free to use VoG weapons outside of the raid and are still pretty good, especially fatebringer in my option depending on the rolls you obtain on it. Lastly, the best weapons in the game tend to change season by season as buffs and nerfs are released. I wouldn't say VoG weapons are the best in the game though.
