Nice to see you in the front of the camera again. I wanna also do my one year reef tank update soon and have a lot of losses. It okay to show the not so shiny part of a reef tank.
I just have 1 display tank, the frag tank is just well... and the lab one I'm trying to "demolish it slowly", one day I will make a new for for sure ;) I'm still busy with the nano reef, some work to be done! (It's mainly because of time and being stubborn)
With your new radion light, putting the dome is cutting the light off and creating a spotlight effect again. My advice would be to put a diffuser film on the light instead of around.
Interesting - good to see you go for the Radion ;) I mix carbo calcium and kalk and dose from the one (I just shake it up).... the BRS Soda Ash is ONLY Alk - as I understand it but also increases your pH (according to Mekele at ACI it has some long term problems) Thanks for the special edition ;)
Now you need to modify "equipment used in this aquarium" part and change ai prime to radion. Keep up the updates, marvelous series. Apart from you, I had Bluetooth issues after the vaccination by the way 😂
If different kinds of lighting interests you, I have these tiny ballasts running 2 G23 plug Fluorescents and I was looking at all the different kinds of fluorescents you can get with a G23 plug. Mainly I was looking at aqua one's 2 saltwater options wondering if you could use 2 tiny T5's in layman's terms for a Pico Reef. I would google G23 plug Fluorescents to start your journey into what's out there because I've probably barely scratched the surface in options. I saw some UV options I thought you might like, only reason I'm mentioning this. They would be super intense and probably scrub algae better than anything although I don't really know much about algae scrubbers or have one, making one is also an option :).
Yes, i'm trying to close it, just keeping it for cleaning my tool from the saltwater :P lol I might do a video this summer about my "perfect" pico aquarium
Well you have the light 3x higher then its supposed to be and the penninsula shape of the tank doesnt help either. The diffuser "dome" is bad idea too since it blocks the cooling fan. Isnt the new Radion too high aswell? well w/e you do you :)
I would be careful about the kasa power strip. I used 2 of them for a while and then all of a sudden the app for them stopped working. the strips work fine but i cannot control them anymore. I tried on my android phone and my apple ipad, both apps on either device does not work. Maybe there will be an app update but I'm not expecting one anytime soon. Love your videos and tank!
@@AquaSplendor it's awesome. And you can control the speed or use larger magnets. You can also leave it on very slow and not turn it off. Slow enough so it stirs the powder slowly at the bottom.
I would also cut the outlet straw shorter so it's not so close to the powder at the bottom. The water inside should be fully saturated with kalk and will be the same concentration throughout the bottle. Alot of kalk reactors will even draw the water from the top of the containers where there isn't alot of undissolved powder.
Air climatisation? it's what is behind me, when the temperature reach 27+ for consecutive days it's on. I can't use too much my AC, it break the breaker at times (spike) and 1 AC is not enough, I'm using a huge long cord through my apartment because the electric plug are not well installed in my apartment :(

@@AquaSplendor May the Force be with you, young Padawan 😂😂😂
You're so underrated man your videos are great a true inspiration
Thank you!
Great video buddy! Great choice on the light upgrade. I love the radion on my nano tank
I love the radion G5 Spread, But I must admit the Prime 16 HD has really great spectrum and easier for camera!
@@AquaSplendor yeah I 100% agree with that. It's a right pain getting the tank looking good on camera with the Radion

Congratz that one year mark is the toughest!
you’ve gotta show us that freshwater tank. a similar type of content but with that tank would be great!
I tried in the past, most people dislike when I show freshwater :(
what a bummer, well keep doing what you do because i enjoy it a lot!
Great vid. It's easy to follow and love the energy you bring. Thanks for the video! Keep it up
Thx for watching!
Good job. Your speaking adds another level to your style. 👍🏻👍🏻
the kasa smart plugs are the BEST. made my life so much easier.
right? I prefer this to the individual smart plug
Ok, so why does it feel like you've been holding out on us! You have several incredible tanks!

Thanks for the update. Fyi there are some 3d printed shades out there for your light of you decide to remove the duct tape😁.
This was an awesome change of pace, don't be afraid to get in front of the Camera more👍
I will! Thank you
I was going to say that your light is beautiful with that cover over it. Great idea.😁
Love ur videos man, keep it up! :D

Thank you Cristina!

I'm cutting the light that goes wide without affecting the center (that 8cm paper black/white large wasn't an accident), there's already a diffuser.
A heater controller is a very good idea. Heaters are notorious for failing, especially in the “on” position.
Interesting - good to see you go for the Radion ;)

The side effect of Bluetooth I swear!
very informative message, appreciate you.

The dome you have is blocking air flow to the fan, so it's overheating. If you remove the dome, you won't have those restrictions.
The Inkbrid is going to save your tank when the heater inevitably fails. It is much more than a gadget to turn your fan on and off.
Hi I am Iranian
I am 13 years old
And I love your aquarium ❤️❤️
Awesome, thank you for watching from back there :)

The spoon!!!
Oh i see you use radion g5 for your lighting.
Hi. Did you manage to solve the problem with dinoflagellates?
Looks like it!
Well you have the light 3x higher then its supposed to be and the penninsula shape of the tank doesnt help either. The diffuser "dome" is bad idea too since it blocks the cooling fan. Isnt the new Radion too high aswell? well w/e you do you :)
Pretty much the same height, I could put the light even higher but it gets too much in my face
[J4F] You used a free trick for dosing kalkwasser, but then i realize that you also use a high-end doser (Versa). Interesting!
Versa for the nano yup,
Jebao with the lab and kalk

Thx for sharing, so far I haven't got any issue but you never know!
I thought you only have 2 tanks wow!!!
5
go full sps! ;) you won't regret it!
Nop, not in this aqua!
Bro your whole tank has all softies lol you dont need that much light like you're sayin lol
It's more for diffusing, have less shadow but more importantly: Avoid that fan running non-stop which is too noisy for my liking.
@@AquaSplendor oh true in the video you were sayin you needed more light. 80 par on sides is perfect for your corals you got.
I know you put a lot of time and energy into the other style video, forgive me but I like these better
I forgive you
I have a similar kalk setup. you can buy a magnetic stirrer to put the bottle on and plug it into a automatic timer.
Yes! (Kinda makes sound), by curiosity what mag stir you use? Haven't been satisfied yet
