Skylanders swap force in my opinion will forever go down in history as the best game in the entire skylanders franchise. Sure it has flaws but overall it was an enjoyable game with a unique gimmick, man.. I remember it like it was when the game first came out, I got it on day one it came out at target and as soon as I bought it, I rushed home as soon as I could just to play the game. I unfortunately didn’t get a chance to play the HD versions of the game and instead I played the Wii version, good god, I will admit that the graphics were ugly as hell but as a 10 year old, I didn’t care, I was just excited that I got the game and played it all day, great video by the way!
I put off getting swap force for a long time for some reason. When I finally did get it, I was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable it was. I wish it had heroic challenges similar to that of SSA and Giants, but it was still a great game. Not my favorite in the franchise, but I can't deny how good the roster is in swap force. Every swapper is enjoyable, and most of the cores are really good too. Not to mention this game gave us the best Skylander, Scratch.

I stopped playing after trap team but at that point I barely bought any of the figures unless they were on clearence. Swap force was the point of most engagement for me in the series. The swapping gimmick was so awesome in my opinion as a kid I had no idea how it worked.
Swap force is now the only skylanders game I can play aside from 3DS Giants, since my skylanders disk bitched out. You could say I’ve been swap forced.

17:45 It looks like you haven't completed (or even started ?) the Survival Arenas ? Or was just that old stock footage ? I find that the most fun is to beat the arenas in Nightmare mode with all the different Skylanders available in Swap Force. It can be frustrating on the Wii controllers, but on an Xbox One (or Xbox Series) controller, movements are much more precise and therefore fun ! Thanks for the thorough review, and game on !
Swap force is great, but i like more the two first games more and trap team too. Swap force for me was the 4th best game. For me, even imaginators was a good game but is my least favourite. The best levels are in giants for me.
I don't like Swap Force, i think the gameplay is boring, the level design is ripetitive and the new Skylanders aren't that creative, but I really respect Swap Force for everything it gave to the Skylanders Franchise, and it's the most important game in the franchise, so I will respect it
Opinion respected, but a few things…… 1. The gameplay was a MASSIVE improvement over SSA and Giants for finally adding jumping and overall making things better. Aside from the Elemental Zones and Swap Zones, the levels themselves aren’t really that bad. 2. The only “repetitive levels” are only really 6 of them since 3 of each take place in either a western-style desert or a snowy area; the rest are actually really creative and unique. And for the most part the graphics and level design were a beautiful improvement for the Skylanders franchise. And 3. A lot of the “new Skylanders” actually WERE creative in many ways. Especially many of the Swappables, we even got some unique Core Skylanders too.
@@Sorcerer-SMC Yes the new addition to the gameplay are revolutionary, the jump totally changed the franchise, but I don't think Swap Force uses it in any particolar and fun way I don't mean ripetitive level themes, but ripetitive level design in a level, and yes Swap Force Is one of the best looking Skylanders game, with Superchargers in first place And yeah the new Skylanders are really cool, but they totally changed the character design of the entire franchise, making it more plasticy and more childish But I don't mind all of the changed they made
@@elimBaz Well I honestly don’t mind the character design change as SSA and Giants’ graphics were not that good. Besides there weren’t really that much of a difference in character design despite some concept art changes.

Skylanders is one of those things that I wish I was more into when it was released but now it just feels crazy to get into.
