Got this bike yesterday, and I like it a lot so far! As a first timer w/e-bikes, I did notice that it's difficult to ride with the motor shut off though which I wasn't expecting. I guess that's typical of ebikes though seeing that they're very heavy, typically I like how easy it is to get on and off the bike & that it already has a bell, light, kickstand, fenders & a bike rack preinstalled. Also surprisingly has plenty of payload so it holds plenty of weight. I like it a lot so far!
It's wild to see how Walmart can ship the bike without a bunch of plastic trash in the package while others at much higher prices still haven't figured that out.
I was the first in line to buy one. My Brother bought it for me as a Christmas present. He must felt sorry for me after riding 1,024 miles on a vintage Cannondale SR 500 circa 1986, and I'm 64. I love this Scooter, it's very well built and the details are first class!. I've rolled over 60 miles so far with no issues whatsoever. It has its plus and minus, a bit heavy, rigid frame but I'm delighted ❤. I recommend a peddle upgrade which I did. I love it and thank you Kev for a pleasant review. Now... get out and roll!
So close to being a home run for me. Suspension seat post and stem with cable/hydraulic brakes and 11-34 gear set would be a home run that would be in my garage for around town errands
As most people only go for 10-15 miles on relatively well maintained paths, this thing is awesome. If my wife ever wants to get into it, this would be the one she'll start on. The battery looks like the reention style that a lot of others use, so it may be feasible to find extra batteries or replacements fairly easily. Walmart would do well to offer then at least.
I got one for my wife, to ride with me. I took it out on two shake down runs and i am impressed, i did a 8 mile run and a 18 mile run. both times i pedaled in 5 or 6 gear and i only used one or two bars on the battery meter. the complaint for me is the saddle is not comfortable for rides over 4 miles, IMO
This looks like a home run. My wife has a Aventon Pace 500 e-bike with a rear rack and cargo box that use when we take the RV on trips for ice bag runs. I can put 3 10lb bags of ice in it and off I go. That bike looks almost exactly like this and spec'd the same other than a 350 watt motor vs 500 on the Aventon and it has hydraulic brakes but is 3x more expensive. $498 is a deal.
I saw one of these at my local Walmart and didn't know it was so impressive. Incredible price point and great build quality. I have to wonder how the battery will last and can it be upgraded to a higher capacity. Always like to bike further.
A number of review comments are indicating problems with the front wheel flying off causing severe injury. Was this caused by improper assembly or something else. Double check the front wheel before you ride.
I’ve seen these reports too. Check your bicycles when you buy em folks. Even from shops. Doesn’t take long to check how tight all the nuts n bolts are.
Thanks, Kev, and I prefer the white step-thru, not really a fan of the stealthy look for street riding, plus the step-thru is probably a tad less rigid than the other, no? Thanks again for unboxing these and taking them for a spin! 😀
I received one for Christmas, the white step thru. I love it!. The build quality is above all the high priced E bikes that just are pure junk!. Live action...get ya'sum!😊
Thank you Kev!. Long time viewer here. Bought many a bicycle on your reviews, especially from Walmart. I peddled 1,024 miles in 2024 on a vintage Cannondale SR 500 circa 1986. I'm 64 and still rolling in Ohio rain or shine now winter. I love your channel and highly recommend and respect you!. Thank you! 😊
These bikes seem to be similar to my Ride 1UP Core-5 (a model no longer available) that I bought 2 years ago for around $1000. The Core-5 is a class 3 and may have a couple other upgrades but the build quality looks very much the same. I wouldn't be surprised to find out they were from the same factory.
Could you possibly do a review of the Priority Eight. Alfine 8 hub. Carbon fork alum. Frame. I’m very interested. You vids are top notch. Long time sub.
Picked up one of these bikes after watching this review. I can definitely say I agree with the commenter as the fit and finish on this bike is really top-notch for the price point, the range of the bike being it's a pedal assist only bike is more than sufficient if you're riding normally in the power assist level 2 or 3 you'll probably see 30 me maybe even better. I currently ran mine for a good 20 miles and still have three bars left on it but I do live in Minnesota where it is mostly flat but there are a few Hills it was tested on and had no problem going up the hills in just pedal assist 3. Understand it's a commuter bike it's not a racing bike so don't expect that you're going to be flying around town at 25 to 28 Mi an hour and does very nicely in the mid-range and gives you a good distance of travel you can put it in level 5 as long as you're putting effort in not just cycling your feet you'll probably see 20 miles at level five up to 30 mi in level 3 with minimum effort but again you do have to put in some effort .....it's a bicycle.
Some of this bike looks like my Velotric e-bike. The charger is exactly the same except for missing the Velotric logo. Wouldn’t be shocked if Velotric makes these e-bikes for Walmart.
Can't locate a backup back wheel and motor. In the near future I hope to buy the heybike maybe replacement maybe parts bike always buy the extended warranty there's three different prices for the same exact heybike just different colors
Sounds like these should be pretty friendly if caught in the rain. Have you ever been caught in rain on any of your e-bikes to share any working issues?
$500 is the perfect price for these ebikes. The more people we get on affordable bikes/ebikes, the less car congestion we get everywhere else. Wal-Mart gets a 👍 from me.
Wattage is over rated Just look at torque figures. Is a 2.0 liter turbo charged Subaru WRX any slower than a 400 hp V8? In Europe they all run only 250 watts but still get 85-100 NM of torque and it works fantastically Apparently it also saves battery life too. Cheers BB
I bought a e bike ( Envo D50) and it had a throttle. First thing I did when I got home, turfed it. Throttle pushers are just that, unless you have some type of disability, pedal the bike.
@@SupersChannelNo.1 I have a real bike, a few actually. Having an ex Ike doesn’t mean” twist a throttle and let the bike do all the work. Might as well buy a motorcycle at that point.

Your video must be having an effect. Just for the hell of it, right after watching I hit Walmart’s web page. As of today (26 Jul 24) both models are out of stock.
A lot of people don't want a throttle. I use mine for some outside exercise, so I want to peddle. I normally ride 30-50 miles and 90% of the time I use level 1, which because of the weight of the bike makes it almost the same effort as a normal bike. I only use more assist to go up hills, and that allows me to save the energy for longer rides. I think this bike is perfect for people that want to use it for exercise.
@ all good, but I’m just stating a fact. I’ve been researching e-bikes for a little more than a year now. Being older & disabled, I thought that it might be a good investment for getting back in shape, & weight loss. Throttle was a feature that really caught my eye, because it would be useful for the times that I was too tired to pedal. But since you know more about them than I do, maybe you have some suggestions.
Just got a great deal on a mid-drive commuter. The TESWAY Comet-M is listed for $1399+shipping on their website but they are $799+$200 shipping on Amazon. Sure this is more $$ than the Concord but it is a class 3 mid-drive, 27.5, 1000Wpk, 28mph, Thumb throttle and PA. Mid-drives are typically $2000 and up. It's still in transit so I don't have any experience with it yet but I thought I'd pass on the info. Maybe you could get your hands on one to review. EDIT: Well the price has gone up since I ordered mine Saturday. It's now $849+$200, but still, for all the features this bike has, that's still a bargain.
After 3 weeks to a month arguing with extended warranty is it Allstate they gave me back $535 bucks it took 300 to get the bike back up and running planetary gears tools Grease
I am watching this review because I smashed my car and need transportation. I found an almost new Concorde just like this. The guy wants $400.00$ and of course I’m going to try to talk him down to about 330.00$
@ yes I did. It’s pretty awesome. I got it for $350. It cruises at 20 mph very easily with a little effort. I can get it up to 25. It doesn’t have super good suspension though so I bought a seat with suspension on it.
Sorry but I’ll stick with my mokwheel basalt st and at least the local bike shop ca tune her up better then wal,art and there hikes with falling off tires
Class 2 e-bikes have no business being classified as bicycles. If you’re not pedaling, it’s an electric light motorcycle/moped, and should be under their restrictions (registration, license, helmet, etc.).
If it has a throttle, it's not a bicycle. It's a low powered motorcycle. Which means it should be legally treated like a moped: Registration, license, helmet. You want to claim it's a bicycle? PEDAL!!!!!
@@dogit1840 Yeah I know. It’s how to get a motorcycle, call it a bicycle, and ensure you can break traffic laws with impunity, just like a lot of bicycle commuters do.

Who makes these and where do you get parts??? Can't find any info on these.. WTH
Lmk what you find

I’m looking to find if they have an upgraded battery that goes a little faster

Is the 20 mile battery life accurate?
What's the motor connector like, could you swap in another bafang with just a little more oomph?

You can easily add motor cut off switches to the controller.
I doubt that’s something the average rider would want to dig into

There are ports available on the controller for the brake cut-offs and a throttle. I opted to add the throttle only to mine. Very glad I did.
