Something many Colts fans don't realize is that Josh Downs led all Indy WR's and TE's in drops (5) and drop % (5.1%). Most think it was Pierce or Ganson.

@@LawrenceOwen i wouldnt think granson had the most drops, he had like only 1 or 2 all season. at one point granson had the best hands, but that might have been the year b4. Pierce dont get drops becuase every ball is contested or a bad pass. AP never gets easy pass and catch. its always a diving catch or he has to go up in over some1. NEVER EASY! his eaasiest catch ever was prolly that matt ryan vs Jags to win the game, and pierce had a dude riding his back!

We could also win 6 games. I’m a diehard Colts fan, but you never know how it’s going to go. Injuries are the killer. I think our offensive line only started 1 or 2 games together all year. It all comes down to health and whether our secondary can grow. Obviously, it also depends on the opponent’s injuries, which are impossible to predict. If every player stayed healthy for the entire NFL (lol), I think we can be a 10-12 win team at the top end. Richardson is the wild card. He could tear it up, or we could see those rookie growing pains we didn’t see last year since he hardly played. I’m just saying we need to be realistic.
We have a tough first 6 games and if things get off to a rough start, it maybe too hard to turn it around later. Especially in a very competitive division. I'm hopeful but realistic - we could finish 12-6 or 6-12.
One benefit-- Our offensive line depth is much, much better this year.
At Tackle: Freeland should be in a much better position next year -- he wasn't very good but he was a rookie, and a year of strength training and development could make him a quality backup quickly. Goncalves and Witt give two decent options for the 4th tackle (Witt with the huge upside, Goncalves gives a decent floor). Should be noted -- most teams struggle to find two good tackles, so a drop off to #3 shouldn't be surprising.
At Center: Pinter/Anderson/Bortolini should all be upgrades over French, who still has a lot of development to do. French strikes me as a "Coaches love him because he can make line calls even if he's getting BTFOd regularly by quality DTs" kind of guy. French could take a step, but I'm Luke warm on him.
Guard: This is the weakest position in terms of depth. Josh Sills is largely unknown, though he had some good games with the Eagles. Bortolini is probably going to be a solid pass protector from the get-go even if his run blocking will need to develop ALOT before he starts. Goncalves is probably the future starting RG and could be the guy to go with if Fries/Nelson is out for a long stretch. Pinter is an option here too, and while he's been bad at guard, he also played mostly under the previous staff and could look much better with the current framework.
If they can keep Richardson upright and he can deliver ACCURATE passes, Indy can certainly compete for the division. It will be tough though as it’s pretty much a make or break it year for both the QB and head coach in Jacksonville, and the Texans are due for a step forward.
Pending good health, I believe the Colts will have a top 5 offense. I feel like we have the best group of TEs in the NFL, and I believe that will be a huge factor in our success. They'll be putting respect on us this season. 💯

Yea, well there is some major flaw in your predictions here....Colts ""DO NOT"" start off the season with the Titans as you suggest....They start the season with the Houston Texans, a whole different ball game...Might want to adjust your assessments...

Colts are nothing more than whatever you think about Richardson, and we need to see him survive some contact before penciling him in as anything more than a question mark. I hope he's good but if he was on another team with his injury history, I probably wouldn't be very optimistic tbh

Downs primarily played slot in college. He's a slot receiver and a good one. Pierce will be in a battle with AD Mitchell for a starting spot. If he can't beat out AD in camp, then he can "ride the pine."
