    Pat Riley once said that if his life is on the line, he'd pick Larry Bird to take the clutch shot. Definitely a great choice, but no one is perfect. During the Celtics' best season ever on 04/06/86, Bird (that year's eventual MVP) was intentionally fouled to stop the clock. He then proceeded to miss two free throws in a row, which led to Dr. J sinking in a 3pt game-winner for the Sixers. Bad streaks can happen to anyone at anytime. Imagine the social media reaction if Kenny beat Steph Curry on TNT.

    Anthony’s shooting talent is undeniable, but I have a different take on this. He has experience taking threes, but not taking threes in front of 4 NBA legends in a studio. The lights were too bright, and that’s not his fault. He’s never been in that situation so of course he doesn’t have the experience necessary to perform. But Kenny the Jet Smith? He’s been won two finals. He’s playing in the studio he’s called home for years. Of course he won the shootout. This is the same reason why analysts always tend to favor veterans when picking playoff matchups. Over 82 games, young talent will win you games, but if you’ve never experienced playoff basketball, it’s not reasonable to expect the success to hold up the same

    • @Cloverhope23
      @Cloverhope23 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Idiot, they were in a studio. The roof was too low to take a normal shot. Kenny has probably shot 1000's of shots in the studio and knows what arc to put on it to still make it. PLAYOFFS? WERE TALKING ABOUT PLAYOFFS? LOL

    • @cnelsonlv99
      @cnelsonlv99 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +141

      Kenny also shoots 3s in that studio on that basket every day. I'm pretty sure it is not at all like a regular court or basket. Also I think the ceiling is pretty low, so you can't shoot with the same arc you usually would. Most of all, Barkley and Smith are disrespectful scumbags. Used to like both of them as players, but the more I watched their analysis, the more I couldn't stand them. Haven't watched their show in many years.

When you are cocky and can’t back it up that is what happens. No room for that bs when you are playing sports and especially if you aren’t even professional. He wanted to shoot free throws, they told him no we shooting 3s, he said the roofs too low, it's a problem for him, they didn't care , even though Kenny acknowledged it was a problem too. It's like a sniper telling you he cant make a shot under these conditions, then you clown him for not hitting a shot he already told you he couldn't make...

      Shooters shoot, Period. That’s why he didn’t feel accepted by them because Hoopers are a different breed than Arcade/Competition shooters. He needs perfect conditions that are favorable to him to succeed and a true hooper gone understand how to adjust to the conditions. Slippery court, double rim, no backboard, no net, low ceiling, angles, arc, bouncy ball, slippery ball, etc. Then excuses didn’t help made him seem like a crybaby. Kenny was fully comfortable in the studio and the same cannot be said about this guy (new environment, pressure of national tv, shit talked on, etc). He's a pure shooter that are simply not exposed to the rough elements and was basically a fish out of his tank on the show.
