The real Superman. No one ever come close.
Christopher Reeve is a great Superman. Brandon Routh wasn't a bad choice as Superman. Henry Cavill is a pretty close second to Christopher Reeve in my book.
I agree. Superman to me is bright blue and red. I would love color corrected versions of Man of Steel and Returns.

Can’t argue that, it is a very good likeness of him and the statue is high quality. What other Reeves Superman statues made your list?
@@ZiaComics My top one statue still is Arnie Kim’s Reeves Superman. But this one I think it’s second on my list not only because of the price of it but because of Reeves essence transmitting the whole character on one pose.

@@ZiaComics headsculpt it’s better and chest logo has better quality on my opinion. But only those details. For me Sideshow nailed it and this figure is seriously underrated.

I think you will be happy with the statue when it arrives.
Face and s is mediocre and that's putting it lightly rest of it is pretty good . I was quite disappointed with my I pre-ordered the jnd version though so I'm sure that'll be a lot better .
It looks fantastic but you didn't show the face sculpt close up to see if it that good. You just showed the stute from a distance and looks deceiving
I will be trying to show more close up shots of future statues.
@@ZiaComics All i am saying is people want to see the face sculpt that is the most important aspect of a figure how well the likeness is from the real person. Showing it from a distance isn't seeing the detail of it and it's like yours trying to hide any faults with it that might put buyers off from getting it why i said it very deceiving
@@bioshock6935 I mentioned what I thought was a flaw in the head sculpt. The end of the video has a close up of the statue, but I will try to make those videos even closer on future videos.

About the statue, ....the most important thing is,that you are liking it.
My personal opinion, this is probably THE worst Superman statue ever produced and the price sounds totally ike a social experiment.
The hands are out of proportions.
There is a gap, a gap between the head and the neck....wtf is going on here Sideshow 😱
But the worst thing is definitely Christopher Reeve's face.
Even McFarlane's plastic toys are painted better and their price is around 25€

Thanks for the input. I have noticed if I get too close with my camera the focus blurs. I have tried autofocusing as well and the video comes out not looking good. I get as close as I can while maintaining focus. A lot of the blurred video ends up edited out.
While this isn't my favorite Superman statue, it is far from being the worst in my opinion. I have put pictures of the statue and actual pictures of Christopher Reeve in the Superman suit next to each other and I think they captured the likeness reasonably well. I also think the hands are the right proportion. Pull up a picture of Christopher Reeve and look at them side by side.
I do agree with you on the noticeable line between the head and neck. I don't see a gap there, but the line is absolutely noticeable, and it detracts from the overall appearance. I think they should have put a little more effort into making the neck/head transition more seamless.
Not sure what you mean by saying it is a social experiment? Can you explain? The price is about the same as other large format statues that are limited in number, albeit 6,000 isn't very limited. I have noticed the mixed media statues are usually a little pricier as well due to the extra cost.
Thanks for your views on the statue. Art is very subjective. What some people love, others will hate. I try not to let my personal views into the video. I try to keep the video on the quality of the piece while giving a little background on the subject.

The art is a subjectiv ,,thing" and I as professional musician know exactly how subjectiv it is !
You can trust me on that.
But It's subjectiv only, when the job is done well.
When it's not, subjectiv or not subjectiv it's always a sloppy work.
For example when I am playing bad on the stage , it's bad ! No way around. Not a subjectiv thing. I played bad. That's it !

About the expression ,,social experiment"....unfortunately my english skills are very basic and I will be not able to explain what I meant exactly, but I just wanted to say,that the price doesn't match the quality so hard,that from a ,,distance" it looks like a experiment with the people aka the collectors.

Understood, but even if you play sloppy by your standards on stage, there will be people that enjoy it nonetheless. $600 for a limited edition premium format statue is not too high. Overall, the quality is not bad. My main complaint is the seam where the head meets the neck. Other than that I think it is a nice piece. I really like when they do mixed media and the suit is made from fabric rather than molded.
