Got a 100 miler this year. Plan was to use the New Balance super comp trails then switch to the Fresh foam v3 Trails. Pace wise I should be about 7:45-8:45/mile These may be another contender.
I don't get the obsession with the narrow fit. Most euro brands do the same. For ultra trails you need room. The race fit might be ok for short runs but it just makes no sense to me for those long days. Our feet are foot shaped and our toes and foot geometry is designed to flex and move, not to be cramped in
Finding the same issue with ON and Nnormal shoes. In my experience, anyone with 'normal' shape feet will struggle to get 'on' with shoes from either of these otherwise innovative brands.
I do not get the obsession with wide shoes😂 All shoes seem to get wider and taller. They feel like clunky clogs to me and with my narrow feet I can forget about lockdown and am floating around in almost all shoes nowadays. Narrow last options do not exist anymore (contrast to wide options). Even Pegasus is now wide, as are the Saucony Speed 4 and Rebel v4 increased width compared to previous models and don't fit me that well anymore. Everything seems to get bigger. Hard to find an agile shoe nowadays. Wide shoe/toebox evangelist all around all comments sections, but what if that doesn't work for you? I am gratefull there are some more narrow options still available.
Love the out sole concept. Brilliant idea!

I think for 100 miler I'd 100% be looking at sizing up half a size.
Thank you and no poo on the shoes that´s great!

@@Burnoireuropean shoes are mostly very narrow. Adidas, Puma, etc also 🤷🏻♂️.

Worth noting This has a very shallow toe box. Feels heavy and clunky also. Not enough room for long ultras for this with hobbit feet.
