I know you had already done the like button pun, but my brain is so well trained I thought "no one else can compete with our approval, cause we're just so well approved" was going to be followed by "and please, go ahead and approve that like button" 9:28
I feel like class 3 and other 'non-governed' planets are in the spirit of a one planet run. Unlike stellaris where outside of districts most planets are of similar value, in this game what you basically did was set up a mining colony on a desert rock somewhere. So for future challenges like this I'd definitely allow you planets too small to be governed.
Good vid as usual, Montu. As others have said, I think it would be perfectly acceptable to do a 1 Core World challenge. The way GalCiv4 plays, allowing yourself to settle Colonies is not "cheating".
The one thing GalCiv have that I wish is in Stellaris is the ship style designer. I enjoyed GalCiv 3 but after I switched to Stellaris it was never the same for me. Still it is a good game.
Nah colony is perfectly allowed. They can't even be called planets, they're more like asteroid mining. btw 7000 starting credits? Hell my custom civ is dirt poor and I didn't even know it.
Ah yes... The wealthy ability.... A semengly weak perk of having some extra starting cash and starting with a pretty useful tech..... Honestly at this point I don't see any other reason to use it other than to gain access to 2 reaaaaallllly good policies. You can't tell me that a +100% buff to gdp isn't simply insane.
12:07 Apparently with cultural “flipping” of planets being a thing in this game (along with starting out with a colony ship to tempt you) trying to do a one planet play-through in GC4 is almost but not quite as difficult as a one-planet play-through in Star Trek Infinite. 😐
Isn't Individualism at odds with the racial bonus? Everyone's happiness depends on the treasury balance, but everyone wants their money for themselves.

2 planets is just a rounding error, sort of like those employee death numbers

I'd just call it a 1 "Core World" challenge. I think it's perfectly reasonable to get the other minor planets.

One Core Planet is good too.
Not even 5 minutes in, and challenge failed due to greed.
How on brand for that civ.
I tried to resist...
@@MontuPlayswas that a part of the roleplay as well? 😂

you just set up locally-owned franchises in Sirius and Procyon

I love GalCiv but I do feel the visuals are lacking behind the competition these days. I'd struggle to tell some of this apart from GalCiv 2

It actually takes time to train pops, they don't instantly switch jobs and work them at full capability like in Stellaris?
Oh no, you failed the challenge by colonising another planet! Guess you have to do it again with another civ (please)
conquest victory next?
Love your content ❤❤❤
love galciv 4, would love more content
Dread lords? They were defeated in Civ 2 no?
Yes. I thought only their weapon artifacts are left floating around. The one that zap 25% hp from any targeted fleet.
... Somehow the dread lords returned
Bow before our Tallest.
Bet your race has got an eye for detail.
hello is your DLC video still good or is it somewhat better or worse

Goob soon?
No-Stellaris game with tile system. More pain in my life.
I recomend to play this game on Genius dificulty as basic, its too easy on normal/bright
Just change the title to one system

Defo failed challenge i see 2 planets..... :)
Thank you for a video - it was an ideal demonstration why GC4 is a hot pile of garbage and better to be avoided now.
This game looks dreadful.
No U
I say it's fine if you call it a one system run, but defo not one planet
