My friend, Peter Walker, was not happy with the current standard of pitch shifting and/or digital whammy effects, so he invented his own - Virtual Jeff Pro. Virtual Jeff Pro can be attached - non-destructively - to any guitar, acoustic or electric, or similar instrument. Its transparency, polyphonic tracking and speed are unrivalled in my experience. If pitch shifting, virtual capo or whammy are your thing, you must check this out. More info at @fomofx or www.fomofx.com Nice one, Pete!
Please be sure to visit www.fomofx.com as there is a ton of further information to be found there as well as links to in-depth demos, some featuring acoustic guitar.

FYI: Video made for a friend - and the Virtual Jeff!
I saw another video with this device that just read “WHAT HAVE I DONE TO MY GUITAR!?” Thank you Mr. Kingman for staying away from the clickbait. A true Gentlemen.
All this versatility, and it won't cause your tuning to go out even a little. Very cool! 👍👍
Looking forward to seeing the expression on the guitar store staff face's when you say can l have a Virtual Jeff please!☺🎸👍
An amazing product!
BRILLIANT
If anyone watching this video it's just intrigued about the pitch shifting then I would recommend a (line 6) spider 4 guitar head. They have the ability to adjust your tuning to whatever you want to with their pitch shifting. And it's near perfect. No latency and sounds damn good. You could probably find a spider 4 150 watt guitar head for around 100 bucks right now....
Great stuff. Love that
great!!
Now that's inventive!
Thanks Brett! 🙌💥
I just wanted Virtual capo! It would amazing for sing in a comfortable tune
They need to release a pedal that is just the virtual capo minus the trem. I'm always having to play songs where the riff requires open strings down a half step or a whole step. This sounds way better than the drop or similar pedals
As soon as you mentioned Kevin Shields I thought you were going to play more shoegaze style riffs. I'm definitely curious what kind of sounds I can discover with other guitar pedals attached to this.
what sorcery is this?
What the fuck, I was literally thinking of getting one of these for some Kevin Shields trem action. Nice shoutout too. Hope he gives you back yr Godzilla!
Thanks for showing us this! I think I would like it just for the capo function alone. Does it work well with a multi effects pedal?
Great video! How long does the battery last for wireless? Does the whammy still work while virtual capo is on?
What a great idea. Can I use one on a Clavinet or a Rhodes?
Yesss!!! Instant George Duke!
Wow!
I bet you could do Hot Summer Nights with this trem
!!!
Hey Burgs, what recording platform would you recommend for a first timer on a basic laptop? I dont want to invest too much at this early stage. Thanks in advance
Could you loop this into a synth? I prefer the whammy feel to a pitch wheel
If you're making more vids with it please play here comes the sun with a faux capo.
Is it possible to use with an electric acoustic guitar?
Virtual Jeff Beck I’m guessing.
Can that device replace floating tremolo?
It's really great as a product, however very expensive compared to some vibrato and only available on the American market
That's not really an elegant solution, but it sounds good. A simplified onboard version would be great. Could be made to look better too.
Is there any way to change parameters on the controller using external MIDI?
@fomofx any plans to have it for lefties??
Very cool, what stops me, it is still way too bulky
LOL Where's the Godzilla though?!
Who is Australia, - is having more Fun then Brett?
Damn I hope that Kevin Shields story isn't true! I doubt they will be back in Aus anytime soon 😅
Cuamto custa
Brett... you’re really bad for my pocket. Seriously 😳
I understand the pedal and the whammy, but I’m missing how the guitars pickups are picked up by the Jeff
I wondered that. The 'Gallery' section of the unit's website has a diagram showing all the ins and outs from the Jeff. There's a lot of functionality there. Far too much for the likes of me but I would imagine very useful for a pro player like Brett.
@@kevinjohnbetts thanks I’ll take a look
Jeff who?
Beck?
Démonstration assez minable...
Il aurait été bon que le démonstrateur sache se servir d'un vibrato, à défaut de connaître l'esprit du jeu de Jeff.
I bought one. It's not that great guys. The tracking has horrible latency and there's some NASTY filtering going on that throws your playing off. When it $150-$200. Then "maybe" try it out.
Thanks for sharing an honest opinion, you saved me a lot of money!
I watched maybe 10 video demos of these, and NO ONE who made a video demo would comment on latency, feel, how “realistic” it sounded, etc.
Amazing idea, but if the tracking is bad, I don’t want one.
