    Glad to see you got into hydroponics! You'll be interested in knowing that organic hydroponics is very much possible, maybe you'll like to experiment with it some day, as the typical mineral hydroponic solutions, while very precise, have a big environmental impact.
    With organic hydroponics we are able to close the loop of some of your waste similar to what you already do in your soil videos with bokashi, for example!

    2. Do you take a video of the important rules for the plant growers (for example, that much water should be poured on this plant, such as that plant does not grow in the sun)

    Growing plants through hydroponics is interesting..my husband been using it in few years now,its nice feeling you can harvest veges in winter time and just pick it right by your kitchen top, most of the time Bak choy and chillies, and we got really few times of harvest.. This spring from last month he planted Bak choy in hydroponics but in our unheated greenhouse, my 4th harvest with it, he is planting other batches as the first batch is bolting already and started to flower.

    I got a notification! I'm so happy to see this video because I was studying the subject, i want to do more indoor gardening as i have a little balcony but available space inside!
    edit: i think hydroponics are part of a solution but certainly not all of it because some staple crops (in today's capitalist agriculture) cannot be grown in water at all, therefore we must also reform "conventional" agriculture to be smaller scale and without pesticides. although, indeed, for already established enormous towns, importing fresh greens is complicated and wasteful, because they become mushy. i've read and watched about hydroponic farms in singapore but i'm quite worried about the air pollution? where i live i would not want to eat those, but maybe since singapore has a lot of trees, the pollution in edible plants is okay?

      I just found this video and reading the comments! Your experience is very similar to mine. I was tired of loosing most of our harvest to draught and sun scorch so I bit the bullet and bought a big hydroponic system. Have you decided to go with a specific hydroponic system?

      @@phoenixankaa well I was persuaded mostly by the pretty design but I went with a Gardyn. I have posted a few videos of what I’m growing in the system if you’re interested. Currently I have tomatoes and strawberries blooming!! Can’t wait for a harvest!

    Hi, my name is Bunga. It means flower in English 😁 I'm from Indonesia and i love your vids so much! Anyway talking about hydrophonic, do you still get pests eating your veggies? or is it much easier to get rid of them since they're planted inside your house? Hope you answer this one hehe thank you!

    There are doubts about the carbon footprint of hydroponics. After all, artificial lighting is used instead of the sun, and electricity is mainly created by burning fuel. Large urban vertical hydroponic farms consume huge amounts of electricity for lighting, heating and ventilation.

    Thank you so much for posting this, I learned a lot. I have been thinking about hydroponics and after watching this it is now a goal for later this year.
    It has been a cold, wet spring here in Canada too, we had snow a week ago! I had already started my outdoor garden because the week or two prior it had been in the mid to high teens in temperature. Things were growing nicely, sadly I had to replant my beans, and my tomatoes took some leaf damage. (I had even covered everything with fleece blankets )
    I agree with what you said about our world and environment, here in Canada another thing is happening which makes me sad. The government is allowing corporations to buy all our fertile farming land in Niagara region to build more homes and malls. We are losing so much farm land we will end up dependant on other countries for our food before too long.

      Hi I'm in canada, ontario. They don't want us to eat or grow our own foods because they are pushing towards QR codes to enter groceries stores and later on smart cities where they will control where we go and what we eat if people don't wake up.
      These fires are all staged so they can say the ait is polluted and have people moving more towards one location. Easier to implement smart cities. More people need to learn the skill of gardening

    Love your channel. I look forward to your posts every week. I was wondering if you have tried using water from rinsing rice or after boiling veggies or eggs (once the water is cooled of course)? I've been looking into doing some hydroponic gardening and I am curious about going this route of feralization. I'd love to hear from someone who has experience with this.

    Another beautiful, detailed and insightful video. It's quite complex but you make it look simple :) Are the seeds for hydroponic growing different from regular seeds?

    • @doodahgurlie
      @doodahgurlie 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nope. Same seeds. Most things grow amazingly well via hydro, but not all things will do well in it. Check out Khang Starr's channel, he dummies it down for beginners. And if you join his live stream, he'll answer all kinds of questions. He's well known in the pepper community for his pepper crosses, one of which is being tested by NASA for growing in space. :) Join the Pepper Lovers community on FB, which he started.
