Movies always make grenade explosions similar to tactical nukes.
I would like to see what the explosions from one of these ACTUALLY looked like. I've been looking everywhere around the internet to try and find a MK-2 explosion, but can't find shit sadly.
Well, I try to finde also I didnt find
You are overthinking it. The Mk2 explosion is not unique. Simply go lookup similar fragmentation grenades on TH-cam, like the M67 or RGD5, and you'll see how the MK2 would've looked like. There is no fuel explosion like you see in this video. There's some gray/black smoke. If there is dirt on the ground, you'll see the color of the dirt mixed in, as some of the dirt flies up into the air, depending on how loose the dirt is. Sometimes, but not always, you'll see a small flash.
The striker mechanism is different on American made hand grenades from MK2 to the newer M67.
The striker mechanism here is similar to the Russian made grenades and maybe the British Mills grenade...
Thank you
So its not dangerous moving with them on body? Maybe an big impact could activated the mechanism also without leave the pin?
Technically looks like a loaded gun with one in the chamber
I think that it is safe to wear them on body, I belive
Maybe, some extreme heat can treager them, or, as you say, big impact
What software did you use for this simulation? I can download the software. Thank you
3D MAX
Hell yeah....just a random "how does this work" from my mind...thanks I will definitely remember this when we go to war here in L.A. with the homeless...lol
?
Couple things wrong with this video:
1. MK2 simply refers to the model not its function. The MK2 (or Mark 2) was the model used in WWII by the United States. Other fragmentation grenades exist that do not carry the MK2 designation.
2. The mechanism shown is from a grenade called the Mills Hand Grenade used in WWI by the UK.
3. The grenades are filled from the bottom and sealed, not a hole in the side.
Well nice informatoion, I will try to check this
Watching this as I hold my demilled MK 2
hehehe
when i clicked on it it showed a army ad lol
I don't know why?
@@chrvoje_engineering lol buts its a perfect ad tho
It's called targeted advertising, so the system works as intended 😁
From outside it may look like an American MK2 however the inside parts and functions are almost 100% wrong.
Can you provide me detailed parts and function of MK2. Thanks in advanced
you can print it ...
I dont understand
@@chrvoje_engineering you can print it, than cast it with iron. And you'll probably/maybe get a free visit to federal prison...
@@nikoivan2580 HEHEH, you can print it definitly
Everything is wrong in this video.
look mk2 grenade cutaway on images clearly not the same design of grenade in the video and on google
Don’t listen too seriously on TH-cam videos. A lot of miss info in here.
I made research for this topiic, can you provide where is correct information
The old Mark to hand grenade does not work the way you are describing it get your facts straight you are showing how a Mills bomb fuse works not a mark two
Well i found tones of script where they say that MK2 works in this way, please can you provide script well it says different
@@chrvoje_engineering you gonna pay me to do your work for you?.
