There is an episode with Haksewell before Sharpe's Enemy. I think it's the one with the Siege of Badajoz, however I'm not sure what the episode is called.
After watching all of the Sharpe Series several times and again recently I've notice the number of famous English actors that are in the series that i didn't notice before playing small roles. Like Daniel Craig and Mark Warren
When I noticed Daniel Craig in Sharpes Eagle as one of Simmersons lieutenants. I knew it was him... but thought it wasnt, because the only other work I know of him, was when he was relaunched as one of the James Bond. Kinda neat to see an actor, before theyre uber famous
For something similar to this, all you have to watch is the American series THE UNTOUCHABLES. Just to name a few of the actors: Jack Lord, Lee Marvin, Ed Asner, Barbara Stanwick, Robert Redford, James MacArthur, Elizabeth Montgomery, Dick York, Pat Hingle, Jack Elam, Lee Van Cleef, Telly Savalas, Ricardo Montalbán, Gavin MacLeod, Richard Jaeckel, George Kennedy, Nehemiah Persoff, Alan Hale...
Those Congreve rockets certainly were! It wasn't until 1844 and the coming of the Hale rocket that any real accuracy was possible (the Hale was a spin-stabilised type).
i like how Sharpe was probably like "okay rocket troop, you guys just suck too much....just stand at attention, within sight of us, while me and Sgt.Harper get the chosen men together and have an good ol fashioned game of football" :P
Lack of meritocracy, amazing the British Army conquered so much... I guess a question of who is least incompetent back then....the enemy prob even worse...
The navy was a meritocracy for the most part. Army rank was bought and paid for. Wellington was one of the few officers who attended a military academy. French that is.
Sharpe's Company is missing. So this is NOT in chronological order and NOT all of them. Viewers will wonder who "that guy that hates Sharpe" is because there's a whole chapter missing.
"Right hand up to God, Sharpe." - "That's your left hand, sir." rofl!

That would be Sharpe's Company.

Plus Mark Strong; Liz Hurley; and Brian Cox. Brian is one of my favourite characters. His coat buttons up tight over a number of duties. 😅
Daniel Craig! Wow!! Did'nt notice him! Who did he play?
Sir Augustus is a fop but he is far less toxic than Simmerson

"Who is this fool" that's what we were thinking Theresa.
One that doesn't know soldering.
anyone else expect teresa to say "hello boys" as she appeared from the smoke, dropping kit as she went?
"Given that you wrote this book before arriving in Spain, it shows remarkable confidence." Amazing mockery :)
God, he's got to be tired of people asking if he's the man Wellington raised from the ranks. "Yes, I'm not a lord, get over it."
I like how sharpe adresses his comment about his lateness only to wellington.
4:54
And this is why she was made for Sharpe. She's as fearless as he is. ❤

1:41 - I love Sir Augustus's face, as if to say... ''oh shit... the wife'' lol
They used that house (at 2:55) before I think. In the first movie, where Sharpe blows it up just as the French enters it.
Sitting in ahouse you know is being used for target practice, that is not good soldiering!

This makes me want to play Sharpe's enemy part 3
