    Spin the throttle over to the other side from thumb to finger. That's all you have to do. I've been preaching this since the 90's. It's just an allen screw away. The only potential problem is getting enough slack on kill switch wires and hand grip heater. But do it !! I can't believe it's not stock or built in for preference. Good job for pointing this out. I'd ride with you any day!!!

    It's interesting to hear I'm not the only one that does the pinky wrap around on the handle bars. I always wondered why I did that.
    How much strain does it put on your index. I have a damaged index finger that has problems with the cold. I downhill mtb and use it on my back brake still no problem but wonder if it may actually help Kuz I'm using it more to move the throttle and help with circulation or cause it to be even colder. Hmm

    • @northwestdynasty
      @northwestdynasty  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, EVERYTIME I ride a thumb throttle I HAVE to wrap my pinky under.
      Personally Ive never had an issue with finger fatigue, but some say it takes a couple rides. With an injury it’s tough to say….. it can also be rotated to be used like a thumb throttle if your finger gets too tired.

  • @tnort101
    @tnort101 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Have seen some issues with finger throttles in the trees, even with the guard you can have a brach grab a load of throttle at the wrong time.

    • @northwestdynasty
      @northwestdynasty  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ive seen the same with thumb throttles, but that's why we always ride with one finger on the brake ;)

      I do not recommend on a 4 stroke. I tried it. Ran it 7 days on my sidewinder. It’s more of a lay down post thing like ski doo.
      Arm pump is a major issue with big power. Especially never ending 4 stroke power. Also depends if ur an uphill guy or a downhill guy. I like to climb. Each to their own but I gave it an honest chance and it is no longer on the sled. Thumb throttle all the way!!!

    • @northwestdynasty
      @northwestdynasty  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@curtiswilkinson9379 That makes sense. For chute climbing and more straight line riding thumb throttle is great. But I think as you move over to more advanced tree riding/boondocking, is where it shines
