Tom your a absolute fishing machine. I'm jealous we have no ice in the near future and you've deff given me the bug and I'm gonna have to travel i guess. Your video from devils lake looked amazing but that's a haul from central NY. Good luck this ice season and be safe. You keep posting and I'll keep watching
I enjoy your wide range of topics for your videos. The overnight camping, The exploring a new lake, different places to look for on the lake maps to check for fish in the morning evening bites and midday bites. Love every you do. Appreciate you sharing your knowledge with us.
I love fishing into the evening for walleye, especially when the weather is calm and the sky is clear, but I'm still not sure i want to try ice camping. Staring up at the stars with a smile on my face and fish slime on my hands is a great way to cap off a day of fishing. Thanks for another entertaining video Tom and Mitchell.
So I thought I was a pretty serious fisherman until I see Tom pull a minnow out of a fishes mouth with his own teeth! Wow now that’s a whole new level of fishing dedication! Love the video as always guys and keep up the great work!
Great Vid! Thanx for filming the whole ice camping deal. It’s cool to see how people do it differently. And commonly. It’s funny as soon as you picked up Mitchell video went from pretty good filming to another level. ✌️
Do you run your Buddy heater all night and bring along a CO detector? If not, what do you do for heat? I've threatened to do this for years and never made good on it with my son, primarily because of this question. Tom, over the past 5 years you've become my go to. Appreciate the actual FISHING content that isn't just a half hour commercial for whatever product is being hawked, you actually teach us how to catch more fish. Thanks to you and Mitchell!!
We get a few pressure cracks and ridges here on the saginaw bay. The affects wind plays on them might be a good thing to cover. Also, what causes thin ice in spots year to year.
In an upcoming video can you explain your technique in setting the hook on the tip up? I’ve watch you do that so many times. Do you wait until the line is tight?
Year two of ownership I start to have problems with the Beaver Dam LED Tip Ups. Inconsistent. Light on even when touching metal, light flickering, Light not come on at all. Even with fresh batteries.
Mr Boley is this in Wisconsin? I understand you’re from Hayward area- I saw you fishing with Larry Smith at one of my favorite lakes and loved seeing you share your walleye knowledge. 😁
Not looking for GPS coordinates but I've never caught bourbon before and would like to know what lake this is so someday in the future I might get a chance to head there
Absolutely my favorite eating fish in the world is the slimy burb. I only landed a couple last year, but for eating, I’d target them over walleye any day. Walleye are great, don’t get me wrong, just not poor-man’s-lobster great.
@@TomBoley I baked in the recipe/steps into my burbot video from 9 months ago. Go to the 8:30 minute mark for the best poor man’s lobster process. Enjoy, man! Let me know what you think. th-cam.com/video/ERxHqEuiERY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=5ae2V0yXe_4sc565
Fillet two ways, Tom...One take the back straps only and get rid of the belly meat. Cook those separately. Then try whole fillet or chunked, whatever. In my experience, the belly meat is really strong flavored and ruins the meat. Maybe personal preference, but that fatty belly really gets in the way.@@TomBoley
Great video guys really enjoyed it 👍 So Tom this old fella is finally gonna go out on the ice next week i need my 8 to 10 inches lol! I'm thinking Shelbster is ready to do her crappie fishing 😅
Thank you Tom I'll let you know how I do using the Tom Boley method!!!😅 my Grandson in Texas and his friends are big fans he driving me crazy to get him up here to fish! Lol he's 11 yrs old.
Loved the Video as always! And great filming and editing by Mitch but hey Mitch, could you add in some soft music and light narration??? Haha, just kidding
Ice camping isn’t easy but doing difficult things in life I believe is necessary. It keeps you mentally and physically sharp. I just did two nights on Red with Sat temps at -15 -39 with the wind chill.
Slime weasel! That’s a good one! All they do all day long is eat small walleyes, crappies, sunnies, etc. They’re less desirable than carp in my opinion and cause more damage to gamefish.
I'm a new marine thats been doing training all around the country and your videos always keep me from getting homesick, Thanks man
Thank you for serving!!!
Thanks for serving brother!
Stay safe and whoop ass brother
TY Bruh for serving. I think you’d also like Fishnmore and Mav. Both awesome channels. Heads up, eyes open, powder dry😎
Thank you for serving! And glad I can bring a lil Midwest fishing your way!

Great Video Tom and Mitch! I laughed out loud twice. Tom won’t be pursuing a country music career. And “c’mon touch it Mitchell”. Great stuff!

Thanks for giving credit to Mitchell. Hope I spelled his name right.
Tom, your knowledge and time on the ice is crazy for us that are weekend warriors
He will respond to Mitchell or Cameraman haha
And yes he is good on the editing?

Yup.. Cube up those Burbot backstraps and boil em till they float. A little lemon pepper and Red Lobster style biscuits... AMAZING!
Love the content as per usual. Always a good watch when Mitch is along as well.
Music and the camera work top notch Mitchell.

Definitely helps having Mitchell on the camera
@@TomBoley you do great to Tom. But I think ya make a great team. Thanx for the great Vid. ✌️
I will take Mitchell's job anyday
Wow, my heat hawg dont turn on that quick. I usually have to air out the hose first.
The pout are fun and very good eating.
Haven't tried the 7-up method just fried them like walleye.
Great video Tom
LOL.. yup, that third hand can be pretty useful sometimes! Attaboy, Tom!
Waking up to a drag peeling out.... ain't it a wonderful kind of alarm clock ? lol
The best kind ! 💯

The hook set on the tip up is sick hahaha
Nice job on the deep hooks! Super smooth!
Should make an indepth video on ice conditions. What to look for when traversing with changes in ice.
We get a few pressure cracks and ridges here on the saginaw bay. The affects wind plays on them might be a good thing to cover. Also, what causes thin ice in spots year to year.
Mitchell puts together a quality video man.
He sure does!
Love every overlap ❤

What ice gloves do you wear? Bibs too?
Can you drop a link for the lighted tip ups? Thanks. Keep up the great videos.
What are those half finger gloves you use? Got an awesome show, keep up the good work!
Tom it's interesting the way you set the hook to a fish on a tip-up bite. Is it any advantage to doing it the way you do?
Hi Tom ! I and Melissa would love to go walleye fishing with you brother , and your videos rock and are way beyond awesome Tom ! Brendan Gearty
Not looking for GPS coordinates but I've never caught bourbon before and would like to know what lake this is so someday in the future I might get a chance to head there
Lucky! Still open water here in Madison.
Crazy year for sure. I still have open water on some lakes up north as well!
Great video and love watching all of your content! Learned a lot.
What cameras do you use to video your fishing? A lot of gopros? Or other? Thanks!!!
Burbot are really good to eat. I use batter and fry them.
What totes are those on the back of your sled? And how are they mounted ?
Looks super fun!
@TomBoley Did you chop your TKI pole down to less than 5 ft for ice season?
Hey Tom/ wife . Been watching you now for 2 3 years . This is a really long shot but anyway you would consider trying little bay de noc?
Awesome video! Is that a scandik or a tundra?
Ya know…. I was eating pizza while you were eating minnow… wasn’t the plan here! 🤣
Fun video, Great catches!
What are the blades called that you’re adding to the treble hook? Thanks in advance
What kind of light is that on your tip up? Looks like something i need.
“Got him, right there” all I think of now when catching fish 😏

Great vids man, nice fish. Are you giving shimano reels a try?
Tom love your videos! Just curious what do you run for an auger??
Never tried ice camping, Sick videos, like the info....👍
The olde dangle after dark lol
Great video! Is this MN or Wisconsin?
What tip up lights are you using?
Good ol burbs. The only freshwater species of Cod
What jeans is tom wearing? I'm the same built as Tom but can't find jeans that fit like levis. Carharts are too baggie and kuhls are too expensive.
The Simms fishing Gallatin pants. I love em.
Great video guys really enjoyed it 👍 So Tom this old fella is finally gonna go out on the ice next week i need my 8 to 10 inches lol! I'm thinking Shelbster is ready to do her crappie fishing 😅
Good luck fishing. Shelby is definitely ready for a crappie day haha

I really wish I could catch a burbot, precisely because they are supposed to be so great to eat!
I’m going to try to get out tomorrow finally have 3-5 inches of ice.
Good luck be safe
Are your mats 3/4"? Great stuff Tom and Mitch!!!!
I think half inch but thicker the better
Just wondering, what brand of lights are you using on your tip-ups??
Those are build into the beaver dam northern lights tip up
Loved the Video as always! And great filming and editing by Mitch but hey Mitch, could you add in some soft music and light narration??? Haha, just kidding
Gotta get that soft spoken narration and soft jazz fired up
What heater was that Tom ? 👍
The big Heat Hog
What state are you fishing
are burbot good to eat ?
So I have been told.
Nice !
Mitchell, will you please get Tom a tape measure for his birthday?
Ling....best fish out there besides perch
I gotta try one sometime
How thick is the ice?
6 to 10
I wish it wasn't as cold as it is today so my dad can take me out. Love your videos!
Those lights tip up are really nice
Super bright and simple
Is your cameraman’s name Mitchel?😂
Can confirm, burbot is delicious
I'll have to try one
@@TomBoley best way I’ve had it was cubed up , battered and fried, and dipped in butter , the 7 up method isn’t what it’s cracked up to be
what nfl team do yoou follow ?
definitely broke back ice fishing
Nice

catch and cook

If they are super good eating I don't see the issue
All you guys catch burbot but never keep them? Id like not see some vids of you cooking up
Wish I could win that give away we already booked for the first through the 4th of February
❤️🎣⛺️
Not sure it's worth the effort all that work for overnight fishing 😉
Bruh
Them pike are better eating than a walleye
You can lip Burbots...they have no teeth to speak of :)
I’ve been looking at those Elliot rods, if you were to get 2 just for jigging walleyes what would your go to ones be? Thanks
