Holy fuck I've been riding for years and this guy just explained natural horsemanship or even riding in general (since all riding forms use a lot of what he mentioned) better than any instructor I've ever had.

it's because most of the instructors learned from the wrong guys/disciplines.
The sad thing is, many times they mock other ways.

My mom taught us this kind of horsemanship as she was into dressage. Some neighbors laughed that we made pets of our horses, but a cooperative horse who likes and trusts the rider is safer and more fun.

I had a 17 hand Arabian horse named desert storm, dude would bite me all the time, and kick me. Yet when I would get on him, even bareback I didn't need to do anything, he just knew where I wanted to go and how fast. He was never kept in a pen, we would just let him out and he stayed on our 10 acre property. One day we both fell about 5 feet into a ditch, because of the soft dirt around it, and he got up and grabbed me by my belt and helped me stand up.. Quit riding after he died of stomach cancer.. Miss that horse.

If you like this stuff specifically, this guy makes some interesting stuff you might like: th-cam.com/channels/MjlDOf0UO9wSijFqPE9wBw.html
He is kinda the Medieval Brian Brushwood, he tries peasant food, learns about how knights lived and what it was actually like. He has a fun personality and a good sense of humor and makes a cool subject _actually cool!_ So often Medieval stuff can be stuffy and boring... but he does a great job. Just check out the video on training battle horses! I had no idea just a dead body dummy just laying there would spook a horse and make them panic! Horses are so dumb! Lol they have to learn to just step on corpses, get used to clanging and bashing noises, and other crazy stuff. It's very interesting.
Anyway, He's a small channel and deserves some attention. I hope you like his stuff, it's unlike anything on TH-cam I've seen!

Not that I would have any better of a chance to place that shot than you guys, this is all a different monster, but it's so interesting to see traces and hints of that thought process in action. If you preface the fact that you're new to the dealer/table they'll usually take care of you. The dealer will show you proper etiquette and how to signal different calls. He even gave me tips when i would make a rookie hit, dude saved me a bunch of money, so be sure to throw them a tip every now and then ;)

Bruce Sanders That's not what he said at all. He said "at a casino" which CAN be intimidating. So what if he wants to learn from the Rogues?

That was so very interesting. I live in Alberta, but have never had the opportunity for understanding horses and how you ride one. This is great, explains so much. I used to like walking through the fields and shooting, and some horses would be friends and expect that carrot or sugar cube as a thank you for lettin me cross your pasture, but never really understood about how to ride one, and the awesome relationship between man and horse. Thanks, this was great, lotsa fun, wonder where and why the hobby horse came in..... fun for kids, but also a training mechanism for the kids to learn quicker how to ride well. Awesome job, thank you all. Was almost expecting coconut clapping when you cantered though.... hehe.

Funny that she mentioned my country - Poland. Actually Poland fits in Texas a little over 2 times, but population density is 3 times bigger ;) Never heard about this sport, but we like to cultivate our traditions so it's possible. We are so proud of Polish Hussars calvalry that we recently made a supercar called Arrinera Hussarya. BTW, I hope we'll still be close allies because of our common interests... we too don't like Russians and Germans xD Keep up the good work Brian, Jason and your crew :)

A fun fact about poland. We have a history with mounted archers. Huns tried to atack us and we defended against them. Then we created a grup called "lisowczycy" who were a very similar in tactics to Huns. Because of that we have sitch a big representation of mounted archers.
