I have this Bible and absolutely love it! It's loaded with info and really easy on the eyes. I thought I would just use this at home, but I said to myself--"Self, why don't you just make it your full-time every-day Bible?" THAT'S what I said to myself. John MacArthur is not the lone contributor of this Bible--he has a whole team of scholars who do much research. Thus, in many ways MacArthur is more an "editor" of this Bible (especially in the Old Testament). And in the forward of this Bible he acknowledges and thanks many, many people for their assistance in making this Bible possible. And as Mac is a Calvinist. But to am I. And of course one should not be entirely dependent upon "ANY" Study Bible. I don't think any of us would have 100% agreement with any of those who's names are on the Study Bible. But as we say in Texas--"EAT THE WATERMELON AND SPIT OUT THE SEEDS." Seriously, this is a really fine Bible. The design and craftsmanship of the Bible is outstanding. And the goatskin leather on this baby is out of this world! Blessings, brother and sisters in Christ. Grace to you and peace.

Excellent review. I have this Bible and absolutely love it. Highest quality and craftsmanship than any other Bible that I have--and I have a ton of them. Having had this Bible for a number of months now, it has become my very favorite Bible--Study Bible as well.
Yes, that would be great! I have one in genuine leather and I really like it. I wish the font was just a tiny little bit bigger but I know the Bible has an overwhelming amount of references so I understand the trade off... A Premier would be awesome! I already have a NKJV Study bible, NKJV Bible, 1611 KJV, KJV, Geneva, The Webster Bible, NIV, NIV Study Bible, Catholic Bible (Gift), and an NSAB, so since the NSAB is my everyday, Im going to wait until June for the NSAB 2nd Edition 💗
I like John MacArthur. I don’t agree with some of his doctrinal and eschatological views, but, overall, I like him. I like the way he stood up for his church during the pandemic fiasco in California. I wish my church showed that kind of fortitude and leadership.
Great review. Been using a Macarthur study bible for 20 years. This was a great upgrade. I love it. I have the ESV version. My old one was the nkjv. Which translation do you like?

He does not mention the Overview of Theology specifically but I can only guess that if he didn't write it he is aware of it and agrees to it, since it's coming out in a Bible with his name on it. I have read many notes in this Bible that I personally don't agree with and don't find biblically accurate, however, there are a great number of notes and resources that I find extremely good, faithful to Scripture and helpful. Like Paul said: "But examine all things; hold fast to what is good." 1 Thessalonians 5:21 NET Blessings brother 🙏🏽
